I woke up to the beaming sound of my alarm, I tried to reach for it but only realised I was reaching for air and was still half asleep.
I kissed my teeth due to frustration and reached for my alarm.
I got out my bed and laid it then grabbed my robe and towel then entered the shower.
After I brushed my teeth I was now thinking of which hairstyle to do. I stared at my 3c/4a hair thinking which hairstyle will not let me down if I attempted it. Usually when I tried to do a hairstyle I'd end up crying because my hair got me frustrated.
"Ughhhh!" I cried out, throwing my comb in the sink.
My hair was getting knotted and I had to hurry up for school.
I eventually gave up and did a simple top knot bun, I honestly couldn't wait to get my hair braided.
I got into my school uniform, which was a pleated black skirt, white shirt, black tie and black blazer. I put on my white socks and my kickers.
I picked up my violin and walked downstairs to the kitchen.
"Morning mum, morning dad." I gave them both kisses on their cheeks before getting my attention dragged away due to the smell of roti (basically flatbread), I ran to the table and gobbled all the food, I was literally addicted to traditional food.
"Bye mum, dad, and snow." I bent down and gave my dog a light kiss.

School was boring as always, sometimes I could barely catch up to what the teacher was saying, I sat down in my chemistry lesson daydreaming.
"Ouch." I whispered as I felt something hit the back of my head.
I looked back and saw Joseph, he was a typical popular boy, he was Scottish, head of my years football team, however he never had good grades. He was also a bully, well he liked bullying me only because I was 'coloured, and rich.'
"You should put this much effort in your grades, I'm sure you'd become smart." I screwed him then focused back on my work.
"Ouch!" I yelled out in pain as I felt a stinging sensation crawling on my face.
Joseph has gotten out his seat and slapped me across my face before I could even react.
"Watch who you talk to like that. Wannabe rich kid." He spat in my face.
The rest of the class started laughing, even the teacher laughed instead of helping me.
I got out my seat and ran to the toilets, I went inside one of the stools and started to cry, I was known for being a crybaby, however most of the time when you see me I'm smiling, I never really showed my baby side to anyone else.
I kept silent as I heard a few girls walk in gossiping.
"I heard that where her parents are from there is no water." One of them whispered but not quiet enough since I could still hear.
"Oh my, i also heard that, but did you hear the bit when people were saying her parents do illegal things to get their money, Infact I heard their actually criminals." Her friend replied to her.
"Nope those are all lies, I know Journey..." another girl replied.
'Phew' I said to myself as I sighed, being happy that not everyone believes Those rumours. I breathed more quieter as she continued talking.
".. the truth is that her parents aren't criminals... their liars, they force themselves to look rich when deep down we all know that's impossible, look at the colour of her skin for crying out loud, has there ever been a dark girl in this private school?" She continued.
My eyes started to burn as I heard them roast me even more to the point I couldn't take it no more. I grabbed my bag and opened the door.
They stood there looking at me with disgusted looks and I looked back at them with a saddened face.
I shook my head and ran out the toilets.—
I got in the family car and greeted our driver then put my earphones in my ears and started to bop my head to some tunes, I was finally happy now that school had ended.I looked through the window as we drove past the broken houses, one day when I get a good job and income, I'm going to change these houses and the peoples lives, that's a promise I've made to myself, and I will forever keep it.
I flinched as an egg was thrown onto the car by one of the boys who was outside with a group of more boys, this caused all of his friends to start laughing, the rich people were not respected in this area, that was because people who lived here was discriminated by them, I wouldn't blame them, they think we're all the same, but we weren't, I was raised by parents who taught me to treat everyone equally, and to give to others.
I squinted my eyes as it caught a familiar face part of the crowd that was laughing, it was Xavier, the same boy who was the son of Frank, (owner of the corner shop).
I know he noticed me because his smile faded and he scrunched his face up instead.
A few of them also looked through the window the see what he was scrunching his face at, then they saw me.
"Betraying her own kind." I heard the boy behind him say, even though it sounded muffled, my ears always caught on to negative comments.
I quickly turned my head so that they would stop staring at me.
"Can we be quicker please." I hurried the driver.

I was on my bed looking at nothing, I was just thinking about life, how I was treated differently for being dark brown and rich, if I tried to blend in with those from the other end they would call be a rich girl who's trying to hard, and if I tried to blend with the rich people they'd call me a coloured girl who's forcing rich life, I'm judged for who I am, when reality is that they haven't even met me, in my opinion I was such a lovely person. My door opened and I felt Snow jump on my bed and cuddled beside me, I rubbed her belly and used my other hand to read some wattpad books, sometimes I could relate to the characters and sometimes I wished my life was like theirs.
I started to get hungry so I walked downstairs and grabbed a snack, due to me being extremely lazy I wasn't bothered to walk back upstairs so I went to the guest room downstairs and decided to go on Christian tiktok. Soon dozing off.
