I felt really bad about what happened at school during lunch.
What my friends (or maybe they're going to forgive) don't know what happened Sunday evening.
*FLASHBACK*
.
.
."Momma , why don't we go to that new restaurant downtown?" I asked my momma (duh).
"That sounds great. Would you like to go Tyrone" she asked my brother.
"Whatever. I'm just hungry sense we didn't eat yesterday." he said. (Basketball game)
We drove to Mac's ( the new cafe).
The little bell rang when we opened the door.
"Hello! How may I assist you?" Asked the waiter.
"Yes, we would like to get a table" awnsered momma.
The waiter nodded and to the table.
"Right here is our your seats ma'am" said the waiter leading us to our seats.
"Thank you darlin'" said momma
"You're welcome ma'am. Here are your menus." she said, handing us the modern menus, "just call me over when you need anything".
What a sweet lady.
After we had ordered our drinks,I had noticed that we were the only colored people there.
I heard snickers bouning off the four corners of the rustic restaurant.
So did momma and Tyrone but they ignored everything.
It seemed to be going on for a long time until a tall , muscular, and oh , white man stood up and walked over to our table.
"Hello miss , sorry" his chuckles interrupted his statement "what might you be doing here?".
"We are here to eat , sir" awnsered Tyrone.
"Well , that's mighty fine." He said "why don't you get you and your black self somewhere else"
I was shocked by his behavior so I stood up to him and said : "You have no right to say that to us in our have the same rights as you to eat here ,sir."
"Now you listen here little lady I don't want you stealing no silverware" he said waving his finger in the air.
"Why would you suppose I would steal silverware?" I said folding my arms.
"cause you're black" he said.
"That's it! We are outta here!" Said momma.
Me and Tyrone followed behind her.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
I hope Andrew will forgive me.
