It was early in the morning. John was wide awake, keeping a lookout through a sniper rifle construct. His time in the Marines really paid off. They found shelter in a nearby cave. Batman and Diana checked their weapons, while Clark helped John with lookout duty. After a few hours of rest, bad news had begun.
"I can't fly," Clark said.
"Same here," John responded.
"I concur," Diana added.
Batman sighed. "Why?"
"My ring is on seventy-one percent, and I left the battery back at my apartment."
"The sun here is similar to ours, but it has no effect on my powers. I still have my other abilities for now."
"Just like Clark."
Batman couldn't believe this. The one power they needed, and it was unavailable. "Alright, first step, we head to the kingdom."
"And?" Diana asked.
He paused. "I don't know, I'm making this up as I go," he said, as he began the long, cold walk.
"... Did he just quote Indiana Jones?" John said.
---------------------------------The walk was unbearable. The kingdom didn't appear to be any closer.
"You wouldn't mind sharing that suit, would you?" Clark asked.
"I do," Batman said.
Normally Clark could tolerate Bruce's arrogance, but now, he could barely take it.
"Quiet everyone," John said, holding up a fist. "My ring detected something up ahead."
He looked up ahead, then back at the ring. "Make that three bogies, stay sharp." Up ahead, they could see three black shapes as the ground began to tremble, heavy footsteps pounding the ground.
"Attach positions! Now!" Batman yelled, readying his thermal gloves. John summoned twin machine guns, Clark tightened his fists, and Diana raised her shield and sword. The League prepared for battle, as the three shapes took form; an Ursa and two Beowolfs, each mixed with darkness and ice as they ran towards our heroes."What the hell." John said, opening fire.
The Ursa waved its giant paws in the air, knocking John to the ground as it resisted the gunfire. He got back up, continuing to fire with one construct left. Meanwhile, Diana lunged her sword into the back of a Beowolf. The beast wailed in pain, before taking off at full speed towards Clark, who held his ground. She held on for dear life. With one punch, Clark succeeded... at breaking its nose. And nothing else.
"What?" he said in shock.
Smoke bombs detonated as Batman pushed him out of danger. He threw a Thermal-Charged Batarang at the Ursa attacking John, slightly damaging the ice on it's body.
"Thanks!" John yelled.
"Don't mention it!" Batman yelled back.
Diana continued to hold onto the beast. "I can't hold it!"
"Get ready!" Clark yelled, his eyes glowing. "Now!"
She leaped into the air as twin beams of heat sliced through the creature. It disintegrated before her eyes. She had an idea. "They're not living! Don't hold back!"
Before they could do anything, John saw a giant sword slice through the Ursa. He backed away to see... a giant, medieval suit of armor towering over him... next to a young princess?"Uh, thanks?" he said.
A burst of rose pettles rushed by him, revealing another girl with a giant scythe as she stabbed the second Beowolf. It disintegrated like the others. He stood up alongside his teammates to see four young girls with (one, at least) oversized weapons. Both groups looked at each other with caution and curiosity."Okay, who made the giant robot?" John asked.
