"You're almost there, Clark!"
"Don't judge me, Ruby, I don't play video games that mu-." He was cut off as he saw his character get brutally killed by Ruby's character. "YES!" Ruby yelled. "I WON! I beat Superman at video games!"
He hung his head in shame. "All hail Riding Hood."

After Ruby calmed down, she got an idea

After Ruby calmed down, she got an idea. "I know it's not much, Supes," she said, slightly giggling. "But as team leaders, would you be interested in taking a walk along the border of Atlas?" She offered him a handshake. Clark proceeded to shake her hand. "Ruby, I would be honored."

                                  ---------------------------------

Our heroes walked along the edge of the border, staring in awe of the giant force fields surrounding the kingdom.  "So, Clark," Ruby asked, "Back home you're, like, the greatest hero ever, right? Like a huntress?"
He smiled. "In a way, yes, but I do know a hero by the name of Huntress."
Ruby smiled like the fangirl she is. "Really?"
"Yup," he said, looking up at the ships in the sky. "Ruby, if I may ask, do you feel that something terrible is coming?"
She stopped smiling. She was afraid someone would ask that. "Yes," she said, looking out at the snowy landscape. "I'm not sure what to do, Clark. My friends should feel safe here at Atlas, but I just know something is on the horizon, and I'm not talking about out there." She pointed out to the mountains.

Clark, sympathizing with her, knelt down to her height

Clark, sympathizing with her, knelt down to her height. "Ruby, my team has been here for literally a day, but I know already you're a good leader. I've seen the way your friends and Uncle look to you. Yes, you may make mistakes, but know it's all part of the process."
She gave him a fist bump. "Do you practice that in the mirror or something?" she quipped.

He chuckled. "So I've been told."
They continued their walk, enjoying the sunset on the snowy mountains. Clark turned his head to the right, smiling.
"What is it?" Ruby asked.
He pointed at his ear. "Super hearing. Your friend Blake is, and I quote, 'handing his ass to him'."
Ruby laughed. "Great job, Blake!" she yelled.
"From one leader to another," Clark said. "Batman's had that coming for a long time."

Authors Note: I'm sorry I've been running late on this story, everyone. I tend to get tired and lazy every time I'm done at work. I've also been trying to find classes to take since I graduated from high school last year. Furthermore, I know that's no excuse. I will continue writing as much as I can without worrying about my job. When this story is done, my future stories with have links to the gifs and artwork I use. I do acknowledge they're not my own, but to make it better I'll be crediting the people who made them. Thank you to those who continue to read my stories, it really means a lot, especially my Romantic Escapades of Korrasami story. I never though I'd be capable of fan fiction. But now I know I am.
