We sat in a car on the side of the street.
"Cap? Sorry, buddy, we got a problem." My dad sighed. Scott scoffed "yeah, we do."
"Well, what are we gonna do mow?" Steve asked.
"You know what? Give me a break, Steve. I just got his in the head with the Hulk." My dad cut him off.
I gasped "what? I didn't even get to see that? That would've been the best part" I groaned.

"You wanna get off my back?" He asked.
Scott scoffed again "You said that we had one shot. This was our shot. We shot it. It's shot. Six stones or nothing. Six stones or nothing." Scott spat.
"You're repeating yourself, you know that? You're repeating yourself." My dad told him.
"You're repeating yourself. You're repeating yourself."

"Dude. Come on." I pleaded.
"No. You never wanted a time heist. You weren't on board with the time heist." Scott scolded to My dad.
"I dropped the ball." My dad threw his hands up in defeat.
"You ruined the time heist." Scott pointed.
"Is that what I did?" My dad asked.
"Yeah." Scott snapped.

"Are there any options with the Tesseract?" Steve asked.
"No, no, no, there's no other options." Scott sighed. "Scott, stop. You're not letting anyone concentrate." I scolded.
"No! There's no do-overs. We're not going anywhere else. We have one particle left. Each. That's it. All right? We use that, bye-bye, you're not going home." Scott groaned.

"Yeah, well, if we don't try, then no one else is coming home, either." Steve sighed.
"I got it." My dad widened his eyes.
"You got it?" I asked.
"Yup, there's another way to retake the Tesseract and acquire new particles. Little stroll down memory lane. Military installation, Garden State." My dad explained, looking at Steve and I.

"No. You're nuts." I shook his head.
"Nope, listen, Zan. This could be a second chance." My dad tried.
"Damn it." I sighed.
"Well, when were they both there?" Steve asked.
"They were there at a time- I have a vaguely exact idea." My dad stammered.

"How vague?" I asked.
"What are you talking about? Where are we going?" Scott asked.
"Wait, Scott" I cut him off.
"I know for a fact they were there." My dad told us. "Who's they? What are we doing?"  Scott asked.
"And I know how I know." My dad nodded.

"You guys, what is it?" Scott asked.
"This is risky, Take a minute to think about what we're gonna do here" I told them. "What's risky? think about what?"  Scott repeated.
"Looks like we're improvising." Steve sighed.
"Great." I nodded. "What are we improvising?" Scott asked.

"Scott, get this back to the compound." Steve ordered he passed Scott the scepter.
"Suit up." My dad told us.
"What's in New Jersey?" Scott asked.
"Lang, you'll see, just get the scepter back to the compound." I told him.
"you sure?" Steve asked.
"Cap? Captain? Steve. Sorry. America. Rogers. Look, if you do this, and it doesn't work, you're not coming back." Scott told him.

"Thanks for the pep talk, pissant. You guys trust me?" My dad asked.
"Nope." I shook my head, Steve nudged me.
"Yep, yes I do." I sighed. "I do." Steve nodded.
"Then it's your call." My dad whispered.
"Here we go." I nodded.  With that. We were gone.
