A bad feeling

The lightsabers of her parents. Salya held them awestruck in her hands. It reminded her of so many times where she had trained with them. She had always been so proud when her parents had given her their lightsabers, if only for practice. Tears welled up in her eyes. At least she'll be out of this prison now, that was probably the only solace she had. Soon she could try to have a fresh start. She just had to meet up with Ezra and everything would be fine ...
She didn't want to think about what her parents must think of her. She had violated all their principles and did them no honor, rather the opposite!
But now everything would come to an end. The empire couldn't force her to do those dreadful actions ever again!
In the drawer also lied several records of surveillance cameras, which automatically turned on when someone moved around the house. The videos were stored here on the disk. It was purely meant to be a security measure, but now Salya hoped to find some records that could at least bring her parents back a bit. It wasn't be much ... but better than nothing!
Quickly she throwed them in her backpack, including her tools and her inventions.
She was about to hide the lightsabers under her cloak when she felt a cold presence behind her. She froze in the middle of the movement.
"I already suspectet you were involved in these incidents. But that you are as stupid as to staying at this old house? How predictable and miserable", echoed a well-known voice behind Salya.
She immediatly turned around and saw Five and Seven. The inquisitors had found her. And way too fast. She hadn't even made it off Lothal!
For a moment, Salya's hope faded. They wouldn't hesitate to ruin her plans if they didn't kill her in the first place.
But then she reassure herself. She had been waiting for this opportunity for so long! She wouldn't just give up that fast!
"How dare you accuse me of that!? Of course I come here, because I have a connection to this place", Salya shouted angrily and sincerely hoped that the inquisitors would fall for the charade.
"You won't fool us with that, traitor", said Five balefully, moving closer just like Seven.
Salya flinched as both activated their lightsabers, their red light making the chaos of the former home even more dreadful. Behind Seven, her little robots appeared in addition!
Would she die here, where once her father died? No, she couldn't give up when freedom was so close!
But she wouldn't be able to fight off the two inquisitors at the same time. She was bad at handeling two blades at the same time, but with one it was difficult to fend off four.
She couldn't give up. The goal wasn't to kill her opponents, she reminded herself, but to escape!
It was somehow ironic that she of all people had fell into such a situation.
She activated the lightsabers of her parents just in time to counter Seven's attack, even though it almost knocked one of the sabers out of her hand. She had so much strengh!
Salya decided that attack was probably the best defense. She had to somehow manage to create a gap so that she could run off into the meadows!
She quickly attacked Five, whom she considered to be the bigger threat, but before she could land a hit, Five took another strong strike and Seven followed from behind.
The former sith-novice barely managed to block the blows, but Seven and Five were so strong in their attacks and Salya was soon caged in between them!
Salya gathered all her strength, countered, and finally released a force boost that sent Five and Seven flying against the walls of the old farmhouse.
She was on the verge of taking them out, but then she remembered that this time she wasn't the hunter but the prey. So instead she fled through the door but was grabbed by a robot by the hair before she could run off into the meadows. It pulled her down until fell backwards on the ground, but she managed to roll and get on her feet, so she didn't stay down for long.
Three flying droids pounced on her, but their attempts were fend off by her with her lightsaber that made them fall to the ground with a spark.
But it had cost her time ... Five and Seven came out of the building and ominously toward her.
Panicking, Salya took a few steps backwards, but she knew that she couldn't escape this confrontation ...

As Ezra and Kanan arrived at the meeting point, there was no sign of Salya. Ezra feared she might have changed her mind. But then they heard noises that sounded as if a fight was taking place at some distance!
"That doesn't sound good ...", Kanan mumbled.
"Salya! We have to help her!", Ezra shouted and stormed off, following the sounds.
"Ezra! Wait!", Kanan shouted worriedly, but he didn't even seem to think of stopping. Kanan quickly followed him.
As Ezra approached, he saw two inquisitors standing in front of a girl - Salya ...!
The inquisitors both had their red-glowing lightsabers in their hands. The woman threw her lightsaber at Salya and Ezra's heart skipped a beat! But .. Salya blocked the blow with ... a blue lightsaber?
Then, seemingly with the help of the force, she staggered the two dark figures. Salya tried to use the moment to escape, but then the other inquisitor struck out and hit her with his lightsaber at the side, so that she fell to the ground with a scream.
Ezra didn't have time to wonder about Salya's ability to use the force or the lightsaber! He ran to her side as fast as he could.
"Ezra, I'll cover you!", Kanan yelled from somewhere behind him and stood in the way of the two inquisitors.
Ezra fell down on his knees next to Salya.
"Salya! Salya, how bad are you hurt?"
"Ezra ...?" She blinked at him, confused, holding her side in pain. "Could be worse. But you have to get out of here! And fast!" He could hear her anger about the Inquisitors in her voice.
She struggled to her feet and grabbed her lightsaber.
"You have to go! Now!", she shouted again.
"And leave you alone with these crazy people? No way!", Ezra contradicted, also got up and finally activated his own lightsaber.
He looked around quickly. Kanan was parrying the one inquisitor's strike and jumped to one side, barely escaping the Second's blade. He had to help him ! It didn't matter what Salya said! They wouldn't let her down!
Salya thought it would be much easier without the presence of Ezra and Kanan. Then maybe she could have overpowered the two inquisitors with the help of the dark side ...
Still, she somehow managed to suppress the urge to use it ...
Five attacked Ezra and Kanan with a flying lightsaber, while Seven lured Salya away from them. She parried the punches precisely and elegantly.
Ezra fended off the flying saber. They had just got rid of an inquisitor and now there were two new ones! This stupid academy!
"Hey, you didn't tell me your new friend can use the force, too!", Kanan shouted over the battle noise and ducked under a blow.
Ezra was stunned. Did he really wanted to talk about it right now? "I didn't know!", he exclaimed truthfully, shooting the blaster integrated in his lightsaber at the inquisitor to distract him from Kanan.
In fact, it worked for a moment and Kanan came out for an attack. His lightsaber scratched the inquisitor's armour plate but didn't go deep enough to hurt him.
"We'll talk about it later! Now we need a plan!", Kanan decided.
"The lightsaber! Through the middle!", Salya shouted to them. She herself became more and more aggressive in her fighting style.
Kanan and Ezra reacted immediately.
Ezra jumped backwards, out of reach of the lightsaber, and fired again at the inquisitor. Kanan used this distraction to sever the inquisitor's sword in the middle, as Salya had advised.
Salya's eyes turned a yellowish tone, though she tried the best she could to suppress it. She finally managed to cut through the inquisitor's lightsaber in the middle.
The two jedi were too busy to see what happened to her. Seven had distracted her with her little droids and then laughingly used the stranglehold on Salya when she wasn't concentrating enough. But Salya was sure that Kanan and Ezra wouldn't notice her at that moment.
She felt a great wave of the dark side break over her. As strong as it would be from a true sith. Salya fired lightning from her hands directly at the inquisitor, who sank to the floor. Her eyes were now blood red in color. But she didn't break free of the stranglehold fast enough, so she could barely breathe and fell down to, slowly fainting.
All three - Kanan, Ezra and the remaining inquisitor - felt this great wave of dark power and turned around. But there was not much to see from the spectacle. Everyone ran to the figures lying on the floor.
"Salya!", Ezra shouted and dropped to his knees next to her. He found that she looked pretty unharmend, but she was unconscious.
Kanan looked at the inquisitors, who were still a danger even without their lightsabers.
But apparently, they were defeated. With one out of action and no lightsaber, the inquisitor was at a disadvantage and apparently he had come to the same conclusion and fled without taking his comrade with him.
"He left her behind", Ezra stated, wanting to go to the figure on the floor.
Kanan put a hand on his shoulder and held him back. "She is unarmed and unconscious. Leave her to herself and take care of your friend."
But something wasn't right about the situation. That wave of dark force ... the inquisitor looked like she got burned. Kanan searched for the girl's presence in the force, but he couldn't really sense the dark side of her.
He sighed. As soon as she woke up, she would have to answer some questions! He pushed Ezra aside.
"What are you doing?", he protested.
But Kanan put one arm under Salya's shoulders, the other under her knees and picked her up. "We'd rather get out of here before the lady over there wakes up", he explained, and they quickly made their way back to the Ghost.

When they reached the ship, everyone looked at the three with a worried expression. Hera quickly rushed over to them. "What happened?"
"Two inquisitors have happened. One escaped, and the girl somehow blew away the other before she lost consciousness."
Kanan gently laid Salya on the sofa of their sitting area. He still had a bad feeling, but he hadn't been able to leave her behind without being sure. "Now to you, Ezra! How could you forget to tell me that she is a Force user?", he snapped.
Ezra flinched. "I already said that I didn't know!"
"But you should have felt it!", Kanan wondered, not knowing what to think.
Hera looked thoughtful. "Could she somehow hide it from him?"
"Maybe ... I also shut myself out of the force for a while before we found Ezra. But she is still so young and ... what did she do at the Imperial Academy?", Kanan thought aloud.
Ezra also became thoughtful. Salya had told him that she had been part of the empire, but as a force user? Had she been able to keep her connection to the force hidden from the inquisitors the whole time? But then they would hardly have come after her. Then they could have sent simple stormtroopers to bring her back. Something didn't add up ... "Maybe she was taught by a master who survived themself! After all, she also had a lightsaber and I doubt she came up with the idea of building one by herself!", Ezra then recalled, hoping he was right.
"But then she wouldn't be part of the empire ... and what do we do about her anyway?", Hera stated, looking worried at the girl. "Maybe we should take care of her first! She seems to have a few injuries!"
"I don't know what we should do. She will definitely have to answer a few questions", Kanan said firmly. "Can you take care of her wounds?"
Hera nodded, smiling. "Consider it done!" As Hera looked after Salya's wound, her backpack catched their eyes.
"What's in it?", Ezra wanted to know curiously.
"I don't know, guys. Shouldn't we give her some privacy?", Sabine commented.
"As if that would be important in this situation", Zeb said. They didn't need to look inside, to at least see the two lightsabers on the side .
"Normally, I would agree with Sabine. But this girl owes us answers. A lot of answers", Kanan reluctantly admitted and nodded to Hera to look into the backpack.
She opened it. She discovered several technical devices. Many of them looked more than ominous. Among them was the staff that Salya had already used in Ezra's presence. But also a communicator, with which one could log into the imperial net, however only received messages and couldn't send. Then there was a disk with many plans and datas of the empire. The last one was a third lightsaber. But it was very different from the others ...
"Give me that!", Kanan exclaimed, excited and worried. He had a really bad feeling about this and didn't like to see this thing in Hera's hands at all.
Ezra gave him a confused look. Apparently, he couldn't fully follow why Kanan tought that this lightsaber was so important.
When Kanan activated it, the blade was red. The sword of a sith!
