The group approached Violet's apartment building to see that the entire building was dark. Noticing the disappointment and confusion on their faces, a man leaning against the building sighed and said, "Been out for a little over an hour. Not sure what happened."

Violet groaned. "Lovely."

"They said they should have it figured out sometime tonight or tomorrow." The man gestured to a group of people down the street that appeared to be working on something.

She nodded and turned to Bill, John, and Nick. "Well, you guys don't have to sit in the dark and freeze with me. But I should probably stick around here and keep my cat company."

Bill shrugged. "I mean, I'm still happy to keep you company." Nick and John nodded in agreement.

"Plus, Bill and I have this to keep us warm!" Nick lifted up a pack of beer he'd purchased at a liquor store on the way over.

Violet snorted. "Alright, alright. If you insist."

After entering the building and trudging up several flights of stairs, they arrived at Violet's apartment. They carefully stumbled into the pitch black room, and she helped the boys feel their way to the couch. The lighting turned into a dim glow as she shuffled around the room lighting her many candles.

"Ooh, setting a little mood for us." Nick giggled, cracking open a beer. "What are we doing?"

John cleared his throat awkwardly and looked over at Violet. "Do you have like, board games or a deck of cards?"

"I know!" Nick shouted. "Let's play Truth or Dare!" He wiggled his eyebrows and John rolled his eyes.

"How old are we?" John knew he was up to something.

Bill shrugged, grabbing a beer. "I'm interested."

Violet passed out blankets to everyone and took a seat on the floor. "Why not."

With a devilish grin, Nick turned to John. "Truth or dare?"

John sighed. "Truth."

"Would you hook up with a co-worker?" Nick wiggled his eyebrows and John's cheeks turned pink, he looked visibly annoyed.

"I don't know." He said firmly.

"Well you have to pick—" Nick started, and he was quickly cut off by John.

"I don't have to pick anything!"

Bill and Violet were looking at each other in discomfort, sensing the tension in the room.

"How about we move on.." Bill said, picking at the tab of his beer. "Violet! Truth or dare."

"Dare."

Bill smirked. "I dare you to prank call Seth with me."

Violet snorted. "Okay."

She hopped up onto the arm of her couch next to Bill, draping her legs over his while he pulled out his phone.

"Follow my lead." He said, putting his phone on speaker.

"Hello?" Seth said cautiously, sounding half asleep.

"Goo-oood evening Mr. Seth Meyers!" Bill yelled in an obnoxious radio announcer voice. "This is D-D-Dan the Man calling from 99.7 the Beat! Our friend Violet here was on and decided to give out your number for an impromptu interview!"

Seth was silent, and Violet shook her head at him trying not to laugh. "Seth.." she started, "I'm SO sorry I didn't realize that they were going to do this right now.."
