Hyerin's POV

I stared at the huge crowd from the waiting room as my blood rapidly pumped through my body. Wednesday it was. The competition of the ice skaters was today. I knew there still wasn't anyone who could beat me but over confidence was never my strength. Under confidence was my strength to be honest. I did my best when I was pressured. And so my body cooperated with me as adrenaline rushed to my veins making my anxiety peak out.

Breathing heavily I looked at the posters with my name. I've fans. I thought as the current performance ended. "Next up is our all time champion Lee Hyerin!" And the crowd cheered as I closed my eyes in annoyance. These students act like I'm a goddess during these matches but I'm just a nobody later on. Well that's what I loved about this school. Nobody cared about the others.

And neither did I.

"Let me help you tie these." A hand reached out to hold my skating shoes as I pushed it away frowning. Looking up, I saw my not so close mother and raised one eyebrow. "You know I don't like people touching my stuffs." With that I crouched down tying the shoe scoffing slightly how this fake woman sometimes act even faker.

"But I'm your mother Hyerin. I'm supposed to be different." I pushed her approaching hand standing up straight and gritted my teeth glaring at her. And then my eyes noticed the faint figure behind the lady. My grandfather. He was talking to someone in his phone.

I smirked looking back at my mom. "Stop being so fake mom. I won't be able to handle it." Scoffing I walked past the shocking woman and then outside to the roaring crowd. My face remained the same. Emotionless. "And start." The music started as I began dancing with the flow on the ice rink. And soon I was intoxicated by it. I was feeling it completely. My hands, legs, everything moved according to the rythm.

And it stopped.

I panted bowing in front of the crowd before getting inside my room again. This is so annoying. I was happy for a moment. When I completely immersed myself to the music. But then it stopped and reality hit me. It was all just a competition. Which I never liked.

Park Sunghoon's POV

I cheered for the participants as they went and showed their talent. But like everyone. The top girl caught my attention the most. Indeed she deserved to be at the top. But she was different. My eyes landed on her as she annoyingly entered the waiting room. Shrugging it away, I didn't wait for the results to be announced since it was obvious anyways. Lee Hyerin would be first again.

Walking to the contemporary dancing room I heard the crowd roar as the host announced the winner of this month. "Lee Hyerin!" A smile appeared in my face hearing the name. Atleast this school didn't make just anyone the top. "She's your cousin right?" Heeseung hyung just got down from practicing as I approached him with a smile. He nodded as I clicked my tongue smirking. "Say congratulations to her from my behalf."

I was about to walk past him but stopped again and looked at the older man. "After all she deserves to be the top. Also good luck on the match next week hyung." Kinda wanted to just tell him how relaxed I was for the match. Knowing I'd win anyways. I was very confident. I wouldn't call it over confidence though. It was pretty obvious who'd win compared to skills. "You too Sunghoon you too." We both smirked at our opponents as I walked backwards still looking at him until I felt someone getting pushed by my back.

"Oh geez sorry-" I immediately looked back to see the person who got crushed by my hugeass back and raised an eyebrow chuckling slightly. "Aren't you supposed to be on stage?" I offered my hand to the fallen girl as she completely ignored me and stood up. She didn't seem to be annoyed by the fact that she basically just slammed her body on the floor because of me.

Not even bothering to look at me, she grabbed her backpack and walked past me leaving me a bit dumbfounded. I bit my tongue, a bit embarrased seeing Hyerin's back facing me as she quickly walked by her cousin who just saw the scene.

She's different. I guess.

Heeseung's POV

My blood boiled seeing the confidence in Sunghoon's eyes. He was so sure that he'd crush me on stage and be number 1 again. I sighed knowing that yes it probably would be the truth and was about to turn around but halted in my steps as I noticed Hyerin on the floor while Sunghoon tried helping her get up. Tried. Cuz the girl stood up on her own making me laugh slightly.

Knowing Hyerin she probably wouldn't bother giving any reaction to her injured butt and like I expected she hurried out of the campus. A sense of nervousness made its way to my mind again.

Public school. No I don't want to go there. But I don't think I can beat Park Sunghoon.

And then an idea clicked on my head. My head shone up going through the idea but I soon shook my head. "No Heeseung don't." Convincing myself I just stood there for a while until frustratedly coming to a decision of distracting Sunghoon by something.

Running where my cousin went, I followed her catching up to her. "Hyerin-ah stop!" I rested my hands on my knees as she stopped and took out her earphones looking back at me. "What do you want?" She asked blankly as I thought over everything again. This is bad. But I can't afford to leave this school. So let it be the wrong way.

Way of distracting the top student.

"I need your help cousin."

The girl sighed, about to put on her headphones again but I stopped her. "Wait atleast listen to me." She clicked her tongue, obviously disturbed by the fact that I'm inside her 'no humans allowed' period. But I really did need her help. "What do you want Lee Heeseung?"

She never talked formally with me.

"Woah you're supposed to add a 'oppa' you know. Wait no sorry don't go-" not the right time to tease her Heeseung. Get yourself together. "Just do one thing for me." I looked down as the girl raised her eyebrows waiting for me to continue.

Hyerin's POV

I impatiently tapped my shoe on the floor wanting to go home as soon as possible. I wasn't tired but the fact that everyone is gonna come and say all those weird shit people says after someone wins something, I couldn't handle it cuz it was completely fake. It was all for getting on my rich grandfather's good side. I was nothing but a pawn.

"Heeseung quick." I looked here and there seeing the cars pass by the road and then at my older cousin who hesitated to ask what he wanted from me. But finally looked up and said out as my I stared at him unbelievably.

"Distract Park Sunghoon."
