Grizz and Luke were at Allie's place. With Allie and Will arrested for allegedly rigging the election, the place was strangely quiet. Grizz had just returned from the expedition so he was tired and hoped this would be a quick conversation. Despite the good news that they'd found farm land, all joy had died, turning instead to concern after seeing the public spectacle and Allie getting hit by a rock. Luke was also troubled. He felt terrible having assisted in the arrest of Allie, essentially turning against her. Just as equally, he was afraid of what the other members of the so-called guard would do to him if he tried to help her. Both of them were standing around the table in the kitchen, where many talks and discussions had been held before. Luke was stood in front of the counter on one side of the table, and Grizz was stood in the open space on the other side. This was probably best should the conversation get out of hand.

"So, what the fuck has been going on?" Grizz asked

Luke sighed, "Allie was accused of rigging the election."

Grizz shook his head in confusion. He knew Allie wouldn't go that far - she wanted to play fair. It was surprising enough that she even wanted to run for mayor, considering the stress she had already gone through up to this point.

"What? She wouldn't do that. Surely you don't believe that." Grizz said, giving a look of disbelief.

"I don't know, but we had to do something Grizz"

"So, you thought you'd arrest them and let people throw rocks? What the fuck is wrong with you?", Grizz's voice got slightly higher, as it did in anger and frustration.

"What else were we supposed to do, Grizz? If we didn't do something, the people would go crazy"

"We've been stuck in this fucking place for over six months - everyone is going crazy. Do you even have any proof?"

"Not exactly, just someone who claims they overheard them talking about it." Luke lied.

He didn't know how to tell Grizz that he'd essentially framed Allie and set everything up to get everyone against her. Even though he'd been pressured and threatened to do it, Grizz would still take it badly.

"So, you arrested her anyway." Grizz shook his head, "Great going"

"Look, things changed while you were gone"

"I've only been away for a few days, what could have changed that much? The Guard are supposed to be protecting people, not putting them in danger"

"Look Grizz..."

Their heated exchange was brought to an abrupt halt when Grizz's phone went off. Grizz took out his phone to see a message from the one person that could hopefully make this day somewhat better. The message read: I heard you were back. I'm at the hospital with Becca xx. He smiled at the two X's as feelings from before the expedition quickly swept over Grizz. He liked Sam. A lot. But before the trip, there were... complications. Grizz had found out that Sam was the father of Becca's baby, but Sam hadn't told him throughout the hours they had spent talking. This led to the two of them having a fight about whether Sam would ever have the courage to stop sneaking around. However, before Grizz left the two of them kissed and Sam apologised. So right now, Grizz wasn't sure how to feel. On the one hand, he was in love with Sam, but on the other, he didn't want to keep their relationship secret, at least not forever. All he knew is he had to see him. Anything beat arguing with Luke for another five minutes.

"Who is it?" Luke asked.

"I have to go," Grizz said to Luke as he headed for the door.

Although Luke was a friend, he wasn't ready to come out to him, especially right now. He left hoping he'd have a much nicer conversation with Sam and Becca. Luke just shook his head and began pondering about what was going on. He didn't know what to do - if he helped Allie, the rest of the Guard would have his head instead of hers. But one thing that Allie said to him kept running through his head: Nothing... What your loyalty's worth Those words kept haunting him since the arrest. Did he really sink that low?
