Something was wrong.

when Evan and Theo were assigned to complete the task I saw him

Peter Pettigrew

What the hell was he doing at a death eater meeting.

"Kreacher heard the meeting master"

"Anything?"

"Pettigrew revealed the location"

My heart dropped

I arrived too late

The house in ruins

I walked in

"HESTIA"

I walked in deeper to the house.

No. No. No.

She was laying lifeless her eyes still open

I dropped down to my knees

"Hestia" her honey eyes were still the same but they saw without seeing

But her body was cold.

Her body of fire.

Now cold.

I cupped her face

Closed her honey eyes. for they no longer belonged in this world

She would never open them again.

Hestia would never do anything again.

I sat holding her body.

Her messy hair everywhere

"I love you"

I kissed her forehead.

I hadn't even noticed that they killed her entire family.

Her brother was a mere boy.

I loved her from afar before.

But now I could never reach where she was.

She was in a place all goddesses went.

I realized I needed her.

In the way that cracks my skull.

In a way that when she gave her final breath,

I gave mine as well

It belonged to her.

Her face was plastered on the daily prophet

A picture of her playing quidditch and her head girl portrait

I cut the pictures and kept them on the inside of my robes

Since her death the world around me turned to black and grey

Nothing mattered.

Maybe that was the reason I went inside that cave

I wanted to stop him.

And he wanted to live forever.

He didn't deserve it.

And I used to admire that man.

Keep his article clippings around my room.

And he took everything from me.

He knew what he was doing by killing her.

And I would die doing my part in stopping him.

For Hestia.

Because her kind heart deserved to be alive.

I knew from a young age i'd die kissing the floor she walked on.

As the water filled my lungs

I saw her underneath the water.

She was smiling at me.

That same smile since we were kids.

Her eyes had that same glow

"We'll be together forever now" she whispered in my ear

The last apocalypse.
