You hid your face in your in your pillow. Today was the day that you decided to finally tell Shigeo how you felt about him. You actually did it. Rejection is something you absolutely wanted to avoid, but you just wanted to get this off of your chest. Sadly, he rejected you. Shigeo didn't actually reject you, he just stood there, not saying anything. You took it negatively and backed down from him. You were so embarrassed and heartbroken. After school, you ran home in order to avoid him. This was definitely going to affect your friendship with Shigeo. You knew he wouldn't like you back because of his gigantic crush on Tsubomi.

So here you are now. In your room, laying face down in your bed. Contemplating every single decision you've made in your life. Your friend was trying her best to comfort you and make you feel better.

"I'm so stupid."

"You're not."

"He doesn't like me. I'm too... me."

"What does that even mean..."

Before you could berate yourself even more, your doorbell rang. A long, annoyed groan escaped your mouth.

"Well that's a new sound. I'll go get the door," She stood up and left your room. You finally flipped over and you were now staring at your ceiling. Your friend came back but you heard another set of footsteps which made you curious. You didn't have the motivation to even turn your head when your friend walked in, "Y/n, Shigeo is here. I'll leave you two alone." She said, amused and left him in your room.

"Shigeo I'm so sorry about today. I just wanted to get it off of my chest and I know you like Tsubomi a lot. I know things are gonna be awkward between us and it's okay if you don't want to be friends anymore, I understand completely." You said all that in one breath. You actually sat up to tell him all that. Your eyes were watering as you looked away from Shigeo. He sighed and sat down next you. He then placed his hand on top of yours.

"I like you too."

"Wh- but I thought you had a crush on Tsubomi."

"That ended a few weeks ago. I realized that I liked you more than her. I was just too nervous to say anything."

"Then... why didn't you say this earlier? I thought you didn't like me back."

"It was too sudden and I didn't understand what was happening. My mind went blank." He wrapped his arm around your shoulder and you leaned your head on his shoulder.

"Well I feel so much better. Let's go get some ramen or something. I'm starving." You stood up like nothing was wrong and pulled him up too. You held Shigeo's hand and pulled him downstairs. He smiled at how quickly you recovered and wasn't too shy to show you how much he liked you.
