Luffy inspected every inch of my body. His fingers were cold and made me squirm each time he touched me. It made me giggle a bit and he would look at me with a serious face, causing me to stop and look away in embarrassment.
"Luffy it's fine. I'm still in one piece. You're overreacting." I looked down at him
"How am I overreacting?!You almost died Y/n!" He stood up and met my gaze
"I fell!" I stepped a little closer to him
"Off a cliff!" He did the same
"Into water!" I stepped closer once again
"With sharp rocks in it!" He did the same again
"That were nowhere near the surface!" By now we were right in each other's faces. I looked up at him and looked down at me.
"It doesn't matter. It was still dangerous and you could've got hurt. I don't care how serious the injury is. I promised you I wouldn't let you get hurt on my watch and I'm keeping that promise. You mean so much to me Y/n and I don't want to see you hurt let alone lose you. I wouldn't be able to live with myself." He softly explained and pulled me into a hug.
"I'm sorry for not taking this so serious, Luffy. I didn't mean to be so reckless. I promise I'll be more careful next time."
Luffy gave me one last squeeze before looking at me.
"Alright, all seriousness aside, let's go have some fun." He grinned and picked me up and ran.
