'I don't know how I'm still alive at this point. I'm literally hiding and running from this man and his goons. Why does he even look for me at this point? He doesn't even talk to me, I just sit there and he doesn't even let me touch him. I'm his damn girlfriend for fucks sake. What am I supposed to do when I'm sad and feeling self conscious and stuff? I can't even talk to him about it because I'm afraid he'll hurt me. Wait a damn minute... is that him...?' You squinted your eyes a bit and looked closer. Kai was walking through the same alley as you, well he was talking with Shigaraki for some reason and you quickly hid behind a trashcan when they looked over. Your quirk activated after hiding and made you invisible. You quickly snuck away and ran from the area. Usually, you'd just go say hi and stay by his side but you've been avoiding for a week. He's been more distant and cold than usual, which caused you to step back and evaluate the situation. You doubted he missed you though. That was actually the reason why he was meeting with Shigaraki. He had been worried because he hadn't seen you at all for a week and he was getting worried. He loves you dearly and is always worried about you when you go out, truth be told. He missed you and thought you ran away because of how he was treating you, which is true, and it made him guilty. You were the only person he actually wanted to be with and he was willing to let you touch him. He just didn't know how to convey his feelings.
A few days passed and you finally went back to Kai. You missed him, even if he was gonna be a cold bastard. But he's your cold bastard. You walked into the hideout nonchalantly like nothing happened. Since you were tired and didn't know if Kai was anywhere near, you just trudged to your room. When you opened the door, you were met surprised to see your angry, worried, and relieved boyfriend. He was sitting on your desk chair, staring with an unreadable expression. There was no telling what was going through that head of his and you didn't intend on finding out so you slowly backed out of the room. Kai stood up and tugged you into the room before slamming the door behind you.
"Where the hell have you been?!"
"I was... visiting my... family. Yeah. And I stayed longer than I intended. But why do you care? It's not like you paid any attention to me anyway." You hesitated. Kai raised an eyebrow and stepped closer to you. He towered over you and pierced your soul. You knew he didn't believe you. He wasn't angry, not as angry as you thought.
"Do you have any idea how worried I was about you?! I thought you got kidnapped or left me or died... I was a mess." You avoided eye contact until he placed your pudgy hand on his cheek. His mask was off so you were able to observe every feature on his face, "I missed you. And I know that I'm not the nicest... but that doesn't mean I don't care about you. I didn't know how to tell you how I really felt and that I was okay with you showing me affection. When I finally figured it out, you were gone. I'm sorry for ignoring you. I love you." He sighed
"I... I can really hug you? You're not messing with me?" You swallowed the lump in your throat as he nodded at you. You leapt into his chest and wrapped your arms around his torso and he did the same. Kai loved how soft your chubby/curvy body was and held you tighter, "Where's Eri? I want her to be here to so we can be a family." You insisted. 10 minutes later, the three of you were cuddling in your bed and actually enjoying life for once.
