Cry's POV

The empty streets were filled with trash, no one was out. Well considering it was past curfew, I looked up. The sky was completely dark, there was no moon nor stars. Seemed as if they disappeared. I guess it was like this for a while, since the outbreak. I guess the good thing about it is I won't get sick. I hurried home before I could get caught by a guard; but on the way I bumped into someone. FUCK!

"Hey! Why are you still out? Curfew started an hour ago."

"I was... Working on the wall and I got so caught up I didn't realize my group truck had left without me.. so I had to walk home." I said nervously.

The guard looked at me suspiciously.
"How many people do you live with?"
"I live with four people."

The guard took out a small note book and pencil.

"Names?"

"..Russ, Scott, Red, and snake. I made sure I let put Nate's name he was so little and I didn't wanna make things worse.

"Your name?"

"Cry."

He wrote everything down in the notebook and nodded
We are recruiting people to go outside to wall to get supplies, we are running out as we speak.

"Wait, your making us go outside the wall to get them?! It's your job as the guards to make sure have supplies!
He glared at me and smirked.
"Then don't stay out past curfew." He said this as he continued his job of checking the streets.

"...Dick" I mumbled when we was out of site.

I ran home not wanting to get caught by another guard. When I got to my small home, I grabbed my key from my pocket and opened the door. It was cold when I got inside, but it was better than staying outside in the heat. I saw my little brother Nate on the floor, playing with little action figures. When he saw me his eyes lit up and he ran towards me.

"Hey bro," I said while smiling.

"Hi, welcome back!"

"Where are the other?" I said, my tone serious now. Nate noticed and his smile started to fade.

"They're downstairs."

I nodded.

"Okay Nathan, just stay here and play with your toys. Don't open the door, understand?"

Nathan nodded and continue to play with his toys while I headed downstairs. They're probably playing a card game or something.

"Well, look who's back!" Scott said as he lifted his head up from his hand of cards. The other did the same.

"Hey. Everyone I need to tell you something..." I said with a serious look on my face.

"What is it?" Snake said in a quieter tone because he knew Nate was listening.

"I kind of ran into the guards on my way home, being the assholes they are, they are making us go outside the wall and look for supplies.

Red's jaw dropped

"They can't be serious!"

"Don't worry Red I'll go by myself."

Russ shook his head.

"No we are going with you! Nate needs you."

"I don't want to lose you guys."

"We don't want to lose you either, Cry."
