"Don't make that face, cutie. You too, Jiminie." Taehyung said laughing as he sat himself beside the two boys followed by Yoongi who also plopped down on the sit nearby, facing them. "I'm starting to think this uniform doesn't suit me." He then fake pouted, dropping his bag on the table.
Jungkook didn't find himself to say something as seconds passed by, still processing what was happening, voice caught under his breath. It was Jimin who spoke first. "Hi Taehyungie, of course it suits you. We were just surprised, 's all. Anyway, welcome back..." He smiled bright and sincere. "We missed you a lot."
Taehyung returned the smile. "I missed you lots lots too. I'm sorry for...you know." He replied warily as he bit his lip, looking down.
But Jimin just held his hand briefly, making his friend look at him in the eyes. "It's all forgiven, Taehyungie. We'll sort things out later anyway. For now, I'm just happy we're back to being friends again."
"Okay Minnie." He nodded with a smile. "Where's Jinnie hyung by the way? I haven't seen him around."
"He's probably late again. You know how he is." The orange haired boy chuckled.
"Ah."
Jungkook chose that moment to step in. "Hum...how come you're wearing boy's uniform now, Taehyung?" He asked after clearing his throat, internally surprised by his own bluntness. He knew his question was too straightforward but his curiousity was just too strong. He was already waiting for Yoongi's death glares and punches and he probably deserved them.
Giving a quick glance to the mint green-haired boy, he expected to be welcomed by a seething Yoongi but was surprised to see there was none of that. Then, he looked back at Taehyung, quietly waiting for the latter to answer back.
There was something about the way the boy touched his lips before smiling gently at him that made his heart flutter. He couldn't explain it. In fact, there were a lot of things Taehyung made him feel that he couldn't explain. To him, the mannequin was unique to his heart. It was simple as that.
"Well, me and hyung went to see the principal and we came to an agreement..."
"I told that pig how his idea of punishment led us to this mess!" Yoongi cut in, his aura going black. This made chills run down Jungkook's spine. Really, Yoongi wasn't someone to mess with.
"Hyung!" Taehyung protests, almost rolling his eyes.
"You know I'm right, Tae." The older boy continued. "Usually, I don't like to use the 'rich parents' card but yesterday I was forced to. You know I'm not against you wearing what you want but for people to force their decisions on you when it's clearly making you uncomfortable is just unfair. I don't want those assholes to take advantage of you just because you look pretty wearing a girl's uniform. You're much more than that, Tae."
"Hyung..." Taehyung began, emotion thick in his voice, eyes full of unshed tears. And Jungkook was just so overwhelmed by this intense show of brotherly love he also almost teared up. Jimin was smiling as he was holding now both boy's hand.
Without thinking, the brown haired male reached his hand to also hold Taehyung's free one in comfort, heart soaring when the latter all but tighened his grip. Then Jungkook smiled. He was glad to be a part of this little group.
"Hey, are you guys group hugging without me!?" Seokjin fake cried, suddenly appearing in front of them. Everyone laughed at that.
