As soon as the pair left, five hesitantly let go of his hold on y/n's mouth.
And there goes that part of her that wished he would wait, just a second more.
Y/n POV
"Are you okay?" Five asked me, inbetween breaths.
Was I okay?
Yes, I was still breathing, barely, but I would suffice.
"Yes." I said in an uncertain, shaky voice.
I looked around me, not sure on where to lay my eyes upon. I could feel a stinging sensation on the back of my scalp.
A dull ache.
I lifted my arm up discreetly, towards where the pain was coming from.
I ran my finger along my head, and felt a deep cut, the stitches must have split open.
It was probably from the incident that happened with my father.
I decided it was best not to tell Five about that, i have a feeling that he would overreact. And honestly I've had worse.
Five pushed himself off the ground, turned around with his arm stretching down towards me.
I grabbed his hand and hoisted myself upright.
"Thank you" I croaked.
"Don't mention it" He responded in a flat voice.
"We need to get outta here before those bastards get back"
I could tell he was trying to avoid eye contact with me. Looking anywhere but where I was now standing.
"Yeah, you are probably right" I sighed.
"I'm sorry, what was that you said?" five asked with a small grin on his face.
I couldn't boost his ego anymore than he does himself.
"I said that you're an asshole" I replied louder.
HARGREEVES MANSION
"Come, let's get cleaned up"
We were now standing on the steps of the famous Hargreeves mansion.
My father had always had these fantasies of himself living in a huge house, accompanied by a grand TV.
He had said that if I was never born, my mother and himself would have lived in a mansion this big...
"Are you sure I can come in, I don't want to intrude..."
I looked at the gravel stones beneath my feet, each a different shade of grey, but all vary in sizes and shapes.
"You know what? Im just going to head back home" I said in a timorous tone, walking back towards the gate.
He grabbed onto my arm, pulling me back towards him.
"And let you go back to that ass of a guy?" He paused, shaking his head at that absurd thought.
"No way y/n, you're coming with me." Five replied, pulling me into the house.
"Five?" A voice called from upstairs.
I took in a deep breath. It smelt, new. Well new to me.
The sweet scent of baked goods flooded the hallway we were now standing in. The house also smelt abandoned, like no one had lived here for a few years.
"What the hell happened to you?" The same voice questioned, snapping me away from my thoughts.
"And who is this?" The lady asked five in a questioning tone.
