"Please. I'm sorry!" My voice broke, and my heart shattered into a million pieces.
I needed to accept the reality, rather than plead my way out.-FIVES POV-
Shit! How could I let this happen, I swore that I would not let anyone hurt her.I needed to find the handler right now, I would do whatever it took to get y/n back.
"Where is she!" I grabbed the asshole by his collar and slammed him against the wall.
I knew that, that would not give me the answer I wanted, but I was infuriated. With him, with y/n but mainly at myself.
"Back off asshole!" He pushed against my chest, trying to get me off of him.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I stepped back.
"Thank you." He said straightening his collar.
"I have no idea where she is, I asked around, someone told me that the handler was leading y/n into the back corridor."
My teeth clenched.
"And did you think to check there." It was getting harder to control myself, not knowing where she is, if she is okay.
"Yes I did, I'm no idiot, all that was there was a closet and a bunch of old, broken cases." He replied in one breath.
"And did you check in the closet?" I spat.
"Well- uh no. It was locked" My fists clenched into tight balls...
-POV OVER-
The man with the clipboard visited two more times, doing the same routine, it was odd... not sure of the purpose.
He told me that he was doing an experiment that included the behavior of different people.
I got up off the floor, my eyes had now adjusted to the darkness of the small room. I had forgotten how claustrophobic I was.
This was deja vú, my father used to lock me up in the closet, I'd be there for weeks on end, I couldn't do this, not again.
I felt the walls, trailing my hands along them. Trying to get a good idea on how small this room was.
The tears that were falling from my eyes were now dry, I don't think I could cry anymore, or talk for that matter.
My voice was hoarse from screaming so much. I needed a way to get out of here.
I felt around for a bit. There was nothing that could help me get out, all that was in here was myself, lack of oxygen, and a wobbly stool.
I sat on the stool for a minute, rocking back and forth. thinking...
I then remembered seeing a small vent, on the wall, before the handler shut me in.
I got up, moved the stool to where I thought the vent was, and stood up on it and reached to touch the vent.
Almost there.
Of course I should have known not to use the stool as a step, as it was wobbly.
I fell back.
Hitting my head on the wall, making much racket.
I cried out in pain. The door knob rattled. I quickly sat up, tears in my eyes, and a big bump on the back of my skull.
There was muffled talking, it sounded like two people.
"Y/n!" A voice called out.
Five?
"I think I heard something in there." A different voice spoke up.
Evan?
"Five!?" I whimpered. "Y/n?" He called back, banging on the door.
"Five! please help me!" I shouted.
There was silence.
"Okay, stand away from the door."
I assumed Evan said. Still sitting on the floor, I quickly moved away from the door, my back coming in contact with the wall behind me.
Suddenly the door slammed open.
Standing there were Five and Evan. I burst into tears, once again.
"I am so sorry y/n, im so fucking sorry." Five mumbled, kneeling down in front of me.
-FIVES POV-
There she was, in the small closet, tears streaming down her face, hurt and relief in her beautiful e/c eyes. I quickly knelt down in front of her, trying to apologize.I decided that apologies wouldn't make up for what had happened, neither was what I was about to do, but I couldn't help it. I grabbed her shoulders, and pulled her into a tight hug. Still mumbling apologies into her hair.
-POV OVER-Five stopped speaking, grabbed my shoulders and hugged me. I froze up.
Never having this kind of touch before, his hands around my back, I could feel each finger tip, lightly digging into my shirt.
I could feel his muscular arms pressed around my body, creating a warm, soft blanket. Protecting me.
He continued whispering apologies into my hair.
Suddenly, someone cleared their throat.
"I'd love to break up this moment, we gotta get her outta here." Evan blurted.
"What are you still doing here." Five asked. "Well, I did something that you failed to do." Evan remarked. I closed my eyes, inhaling Five's cologne.
"Oh yeah? And what's that?" Five questioned.
Evan scoffed. "Protect her!"
My head was pounding, the room around me was spinning, and the talking became a mere mumble.
"Now listen here shitbag, you have done nothing but waste time." Five snarled.
"Five?" I whispered, he replied with a tight squeeze of his arms.
"Thank you, for coming." I mumbled into his shoulder
He sighed, forgetting his little quarrel with Evan. "I wouldn't leave you."
"Not now. Not ever"
