Chapter 39

One month later

It was officially the day that Raph and Leo would get married. They've been through so much together and it is finally the day they bind their love. Although Raph was getting cold feet. He was in the bedroom looking at himself in the mirror with his suit on and starting to have doubts about himself. Kodi walked in since he was his best man. "Hey Raph, are you ready?" Kodi asked. Raph then sighed and turned to face him. "I-I can't do it." He said. "What! You can't bail on Leo. You're gonna get married!" Kodi said. "N-No. I can't go out there." Raph said with his head down. "No. You are not abandoning him at the altar!" Kodi said, putting his hands on Raphs shoulder. "I'm sorry Kodi, but this is the honest truth. I can't do it." Raph said, turning the other way. "If you don't go, then Leo will be heartbroken." Kodi said. "What makes you think he will be? What makes you think he'll care if I leave him? He'll probably be relieved." Raph said with his hands shaking. "What makes you say that?" Kodi asked. Raph then sighed and looked into the mirror. "Well, just look at me. I don't know how I could possibly have thought I could be worthy of him. He's the greatest person who ever lived, and I'm just...nobody special." Kodi then walked up to Raph. "If you are 'nobody special,' then why did Leo choose you? My point is, I know what love looks like, and I have never seen two mutants more in love than you and Leo. Unless, I am mistaken and you don't love him." This clearly got under Raphs skin so he told him off. "What are you talking about? Ofcourse I love him! You think I wouldn't have asked him to marry me if I didn't love him? Well let me tell you something Kodi, I love Leo more than anything! You hear me? More than anything!" Kodi then smirked. What are you waiting for then?" Raph tried to say something but nothing came out. He then smiled. "Oh well. Look out Leo! Your new hubby is coming! Yes! I can do this!"

"I can't do this." Raph said nervously. Kodi then punched Raphs shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?" Raph asked. "You better not bail." Kodi said. "I won't! Is it getting hot on here or is it just me?" Raph asked fanning himself. "Dude, we are literally outside." Peter said who was standing next to Kodi. Raph then looked around and saw everyone there. His sister, mother, everyone he knew. Even Leo's family. Suddenly the music started to play and everyone started to go silent. "Raph it’s starting. Stop fanning yourself." Kodi whispered to Raph. He did as told and watched his little sister, who was the flower girl, throw petals in the ile. Raphs heart stopped beating as he saw Leo walk through the doors. He was wearing a dark blue suit with a black tie which was similar to Raphs suit but his was black with a dark red tie. One Leo stepped onto the altar, he and Raph hugged. They let go but still held hands. The female cheetah marriage officiant smiled and was ready to wed them. 

"Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Leonardo and Raphael in marriage. True marriage is more than simply joining two persons together through the bonds of matrimony. It is also the union of two hearts and the blending of two families. It lives on the love you give each other and never grows old, but also thrives on the joy of each new day. Marriage is, and should be, an expression of love. May you always be able to talk things over, to confide in each other, to laugh with each other, to enjoy life together, and to also share those moments of quiet and peace, when the day is done. May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness and a home of warmth and understanding. Do you Leonardo, take Raphael, to be your partner in life and to share a path of life with; equal in love, embraced as a mirror for your true self, promising to honor and cherish him, through good times and bad, until death do you part?"

"I do."

"And do you Raphael, take Leonardo, to be your partner in life and to share a path of life with; equal in love, embraced as a mirror for your true self, promising to honor and cherish him, through good times and bad, until death do you part?"

"I do."

"The rings please." Peter then handed the marriage officiant a pillow with two rings on it. Leo grabbed one of the rings and placed it on Raphs finger. "Through this ring, I accept you as my husband, now and for all time." Leo said. Raph then grabbed the last ring and placed it on Leo's finger. "Through this ring, I accept you as my husband, now and for all time." Raph said. "And now, by the power vested in me, I hereby pronounce you wed. You may now kiss." After those special words, Leo and Raph shared a deep kiss as everyone cheered. Peter even started to cry as Kodi comforted him. Leo and Raph let go of the kiss and smiled as they walked off the altar. I guess you can say, they were living the beginning of their happily ever after.
