Chapter 35

It has been a week after the finals and all four boys (including Kodiak) were still waiting for their scores to see if they all passed or not. They have worked so hard for their finals and if they fail, they would all probably have a mental breakdown. When they went back to school, everyone was outside looking at the giants boards to see their grades. Raph, Leo, and Peter went in running and had to make it through the crowd to see their results. Once they were in the front, they quickly tried to look for their names and scores. Leo looked but still couldn't find his name on the board. He was about to give up looking when Raph grabbed him by the shoulders and pointed to where Leo's name was. "Look Leo! I found your name! You passed! I'm so happy for you!" Raph said before hugging Leo as Leo hugged him back. "Thanks. That was too sweet of you. You were as happy for me as you would've been for your own acceptance." Leo said. Then Raph let go of the hug. "Yeah. Of course I was because this is your thing too." Raph said. He then looked at the board to look for his name and when he finally saw his name, he nervously laughed and turned to look at Leo. "No luck for me. What are you gonna do? Just wait. I'll get accepted next year for sure. I have to if I wanna live with you and get a job." Leo was sad that Raph didn't pass at first but was happy that Raph wasn't gonna give up hope. 

"Well, well. Looks like Raph didn't pass. What a loser." Leo and Raph turned around to see David and Jasper behind them. They haven't seen them in a while. "Have fun staying here for another year, faggot." Jasper said while David laughed. Raph looked at the board and turned back to David and Jasper. "Well, while you idiots were calling me a 'faggot,' I looked at the board and found both your names and scores, and it looks like you two didn't pass either. So, joke's on you two because you guys are gonna have to deal with me for another year. Check yourselves before your wreck yourselves." Raph said as he smirked. David then grabbed Raph by the collar of his shirt and pinned him to the wall. "If you're trying to piss us off, congrats, because it's working." David said, showing his fangs. "I would stop what you're doing if I were you." Raph said pointing to the teachers walking around. David let go of Raphs collar as he and Jasper gowled and walked away. "Guys!" Leo and Raph looked to see Peter running towards them. "I got in! I passed!" Peter said. "That's amazing Peter! Congrats." Leo said smiling. "What about you guys?" Peter asked. "I passed, but...Raph didn't." Leo said as Raph looked away. "Bummer. Sorry Raph." Peter apologized. "It's alright. Maybe next year." Raph said.

Later that day, Leo and Peter were talking in Leo's room while Raph was in the bathroom. "It sucks that Raph didn't make it in." Peter said. "I know, and it's weird. He checked on me first. Maybe to be considerate? Yeah, I bet he wanted me to have a chance to be happy just in case he didn't get in." Leo said as he looked down at his feet. "He's rough around the edges sure, but I can see him having that kind of compassion." Leo smiled but then realized something. "What about Kodiak?" Leo asked. "Raph said that he goes to another school, so I'm not sure. I hope he passes." Peter said as his ears flopped down.

It was finally the day that Peter and Leo graduated. Both of their families came to see and congratulate them and even Raph went to cheer them on. After the graduation ceremony, Leo, Peter, and Raph stayed behind to talk while their families drove home. "You guys are finally graduating." Raph said. "Yeah. I feel like it all went so fast." Leo said smiling. "Right and you two are off to college, but I hope we can all stay in touch. Oh wait. We all live close to each other either way." Raph said laughing nervously and Leo and Peter did the same. "Oh Peter. I heard Kodi passed and is going to the same college as you." Raph said with a smirk. "Really! Oh my god! Yes! Just you wait Kodi! I'm gonna be your sex toy!" Peter said, wagging his tail. "Peter, you are so gross." Leo said as he chuckled. 

Leo, Peter, and Raph then went to Chrastina and Mike's house to just hang out and relax. When they opened the door though, they were greeted with party poppers and their families at the door. "Surprise! Congratulations!" They all said. Even Kodi was there too. "What the heck is all this?" Raph said. "It's a surprise party doofus. Are you guys gonna come inside?" Kodi said. Leo, Raph, and Peter walked in and saw lots of food on the table waiting for them. "Oh wow! It looks great!" Peter said. "And super tasty too." Raph said. Just then the doorbell rang. "Oh Raph? Can you get that?" Kodi asked. "What?! Wait am I not having a party thrown for me right now? I still took the finals! Didn't I?" Raph said as he was being pushed to the door by Kodiak. "Well technically, but you were more like an afterthought." Kodi said as he walked away. "Did you seriously just call me an afterthought?!" Raph asked.

When Raph came back from answering the door, he looked like he was about to cry. "Raph? What's wrong? You look like you've just see a ghost or something." Leo said. Raph then handed them a paper and told them to look at it. Raphs mother took the paper and read it. "Backup candidate accepted?!" Raphs mother said in shock! "You did it Raph! You got accepted!" Peter said with joy. But Raph still had that face. "Okay, let me get this straight. I really got wait-listed? So like for real though? I mean, it's a real acceptance letter? Like basically, I'm wondering if this means I get to go to the same college that you're going to?" Raph asked Leo. "From what I understand, yes." Leo said. "Really? Like fore real?" Raph asked again. "That's right. Really like for real." Leo answered. "Ok, understood. So what you're saying is, I get to go to the same college as you." Raph asked one more time. "Yep." Leo said. "Awesome." Raph said as he fell to the floor. "All right that's a relief. I'm not a loser." Raph then started to cry, covering his eyes with his arm. "Honestly, I thought that compared to you guys, I wouldn't amount to much, but this whole process helped me figure something out. I'm good at tons of stuff and I was right! So I'm not gonna give up ever again!" Raph said with tears in his eyes. "Good speech Raph. Nothing like awkward to start a party." Kodi said clapping. "Alright everyone, now who's hungry?" Trisha said. "Hell yeah! Who's the afterthought now!" Raph said as he jumped up and pointed at Kodi. Everyone laughed and started to enjoy the party.
