Y/ N POV
I just got permission to go home, I can't get my mind off the offer I was given.. I don't know if I am willing to continue to get injuries similar to the ones I got from that one man, which I now know as Uzui Tengen.
I got told there was such thing as Final Selection, it's the test everyone has to pass to become demon slayers... I heard the reason so few people come back each year is that there are demons inside the area, I'm debating if I am gonna go or not. Since there are demons there I could heal them, and potentially help them.
I let out a sigh as I finally see my house in the distance. I might as well train myself more, as well as make more of the pre-made cures.
I was offered to become a Hashira, I didn't take it as I still have anger towards them. After all, my whole life has been hell because of their organization. I intend to go to Final Selection to heal demons, I don't feel the need to become a demon slayer. I mean, why would I join an organization that hunts my kind?
This is way too much thinking, I am just gonna go rest for now. I open the sliding door to my house, sliding it to the left.
I proceed to go down to my basement, hidden away by a bookshelf. Classic secret passage technique I know. Here I gather all my necessary materials and brew the cure as well. The cure itself is quite a peculiar thing, since the cure my father made works to only partially cure a demon, and with my blood, it fully cures a demon. This is actually because demons cannot consume the blood of another demon, unless certain ones, so their body fights to attempt to get my blood out, but because I can control my blood I expel the remaining demon blood that the initial cure didn't take out, and then take out my own. I have to concentrate in an attempt to not harm the demon further though, which is why it takes so long.. I can't have a repeat of what happened last time. I'm going to get stronger.
I begin placing certain ingredients that need more time to fertilize or something aside, to be put to use later on. Whilst cleaning my station I began to think about the sheer amount of cure I would need to make considering what I've heard about the fujikasane mountain and how many people die because of the number of demons and their strength.
I walk towards one of the bookshelves on the right side of my station and take out a box with a bunch of capsules and bottles in it. This is gonna take a while, and a lot of energy. After I put the box on my station, I walk to the other side of my station to grab a knife. I began to cut my palm, letting my blood drip inside of the capsule from above. With my other hand, I attempt to grab bandages, knowing I'm gonna need them later on, but of course, I ended up dropping them instead.

I groan in anger and impatience. Why doesn't anything ever go right-The glass shattered into many pieces, some of which landed on my feet. I gently shake the pieces off and attempt to step away without stepping on the glass, just barely succeeding. I clean up what fell and look at what I've been working on.
... Maybe rather than working on the cure I could work on my abilities so I can keep up with others.
I leave my stuff there to do its work, and head on upstairs, changing into a more casual outfit and ready to work out my body but being wary of my hands.
I slide the door to the right as I begin to step outside, then I remember I forgot my blade. I slide the door back towards the left as I turn back around, running towards my room to grab my blade. I grab a few capsules of the cure as well as some rope, attaching them to my belt. I walk back into the main room, stepping outside the house as I slide the door closed once more. I sigh as I begin to walk towards the woods.
I let my body go on autopilot as I walk, getting lost in thought as I begin to properly process what just happened, and what this means. Had I just been kidnapped by a bunch of weirdos, and then offered a spot in their little group? Absurd if I do say so myself.
Would I even be able to handle all those demons on the mountain? What if the other demon slayers started attacking me instead? Why did I even agree to this again?
Oh right, to help all the-
skchrackk
My head immediately snaps up and I notice I'm further into the woods than I've ever gone, and before me I see
"a demon.." I breathe out.
I looked at the demon standing right in front of me, attempting an intimidating stance. The demon has pale skin, her piercing red eyes long and narrow with long eyelashes. She also has long black hair, tied into two braided sections. The bands holding the tied hair are white, but they have roses attached to them. She is wearing a short white kimono that has long sleeves with a rose flower pattern on it, the neckline of the kimono being low cut. I look at her hands, in between each finger are roses. Her long nails being black, but fading to red at the tips. I took note that the roses must be a part of her blood demon art, so I better avoid them if possible. She is also barefoot, which could either help me or make things more difficult for me.
I go to observe her figure more, taking note of the roses looking sharp and possibly poisonous. All of a sudden, out of pure instinct I duck downwards avoiding a rose that was aimed at my eye.'' Awwhhh~ I thought I caught you off guard '' The demon spoke out, her voice being sarcastic.I don't even bother to respond to this statement, I instead unsheathe my sword. After I successfully coated my blade with the antidote, I take my stance as I prepare to attack. Before I can use a technique, roses come flying towards me once more. Of course, I dodge without much trouble.
'' Your little roses are easily avoidable, you're weak. '' I said towards the demon, purposefully angering her. Hoping to get her in a state of pure anger to where she's only focused on attacking. Soon enough, it worked and she was attacking me full of pure emotion.
'' Blood Wisteria Breathing, Fifth form. '' I then go on to twirl around my opponent whilst slashing her in multiple places, as well as mixing this with my Blood Demon Art Technique which causes me to manipulate her senses into thinking she's in immense pain. I watch as she stops attacking due to the pain, I take this opportunity to inject more antidote into her.
I stand up properly while I take out my water gourd, making sure not to drink it all knowing the demon will be dehydrated when she wakes up. I look down at the demon, that is now on the ground. My eyes slightly widen as I watch as she continues to lose her demonic features. I notice something happening to her eyes, but since I am unable to see I can only assume they're returning to their original color. I then watch as her nails become rounded, as well as the roses stopped growing from in between her fingers.
It's been a few minutes now, and I know this would probably take a few hours before she wakes up. I've noticed the cure I used worked a lot faster than before, good thing to know this improved formula is working. I won't be able to stay with the demons-turned human for hours at the mountain since I will be all around the place, so a faster working cure is necessary. I begin to mull over ideas in my head about how to improve the cure even more, and then don't even realize that hours have passed until I hear the small groan beside me, turning my head to see the person from before starting to awaken.
Eventually, they get up, rubbing at their head in pain. "What happened?" they asked, not noticing me until I shifted. They widened their eyes and immediately jumped back, startling in place because of what I assume to be noticing the lack of distance they jumped considering they don't have demon strength anymore.
"What did you do??" They shout at me, eyes wide in panic.
I let out a sigh of relief that they're talking fine, but now time for the explanation..

'' That all happened? '' The girl said with a visibly shocked tone in her voice. '' I'm sorry for causing you such trouble, I'm Ayame by the way.. Or I think, that's the last thing I can seem to remember.. ''
'' It wasn't much of a hassle, so it's alright. '' I say, letting out a soft sigh afterward. '' I love your eyes, by the way, such a pretty deep purple. '' I said towards the girl. Ayame blushed a bit out of embarrassment, '' Thank you, your magenta ones are pretty as well. '' Ayame said towards me. After hearing this I put on a soft smile.
Then I remembered what I was told by the girl with the butterfly clip, who I now know as Shinobu. '' Hey, do you need a place to stay? I know somewhere that can help you fully recover. ''
'' Ah, yeah that'd be nice.. Since I can't seem to remember where I even lived.. '' Ayame responded to me. With this I pick her up in my arms, carrying her whilst running where Shinobu told me to go in a situation like this.

'' Thank you for following my suggestion and bringing her here like I suggested, Y/N. '' Shinobu spoke.
'' It isn't a big deal, I'm gonna take my leave now. '' I said, turning around and leaving the estate."goodbye!" she called out after me.
As I walked back in what I hoped was the direction of my home, I heard some shuffling and small whimpers coming from the left of me. 'Someone or something might be injured' I scurried over to where I heard the noises, only to see a poor little fox making a miserable attempt to run from me but tripping and falling on its obviously broken paw, hurting itself even more.
I grabbed some of the bandages attached to my belt, gently but forcefully making the fox sit down. As I began to wrap the foxes bandaged paw it went to go crawl into my lap, at this gesture, I slightly smile as I pet the fox then get back to the bandaging.
After I finished bandaging the foxes' paw, I gave the fox some water from my gourd. Then when I went to leave, only to see the fox poorly attempting to follow me. My eyes slightly widen at this, then it turns back into a smile. I decide to go back to pick up the fox and holding it in my arms, deciding to take it home with me. Besides, he'd make a cute little companion.
Honestly surprised the fox was trying to go back with me. Usually, animals ran as soon as they realized there was any sort of demon blood in me. It saddened me but now I have a companion of my own and I'm excited to spend my life with him.
Hmm, what to call this little rascal...
Rio.
"Hey, little guy. How do you feel about being called Rio?"He looked up at me with his black little beady eyes and as if I could hear him, I felt him say yes. I'm a little startled, is this some sort of demon ability? He's like a famil- a familiar.
"Rio, my little familiar.." He gave a happy little yip

I ended up using some old fabric to sew Rio something similar to a pillow. I have the pillow on a bookshelf, Rio is small enough to be able to still lay down on top of it. I look over at Rio who is now sleeping, I smile as I go back to continue putting the partial cures in the capsules and bottles, leaving enough space for my blood.
After all the partial cure has been separated into different bottles, I go to grab the other capsules from earlier today that is filled with only my blood. I sigh as I go to poor a certain amount of blood into each capsule, ranging from very strong or a weak antidote. Using the weaker antidotes on the fairly tired out or badly injured demons, then using the stronger antidotes on the demons that are still pretty strong.
Once I have made a decent amount of the cures, I go to put them in a box and put them on a bookshelf. Keeping them hidden away until the time of the ' Final Selection ' comes.
I grab Rio's pillow, keeping him on top of it during the process. He got a bit startled but I pat his head assuring him it's fine. I make my way up the stairs, once I am up there I set Rio and his pillow on the end of my bed. I smile as I watch him stop tensing up and just fall back into a peaceful slumber. I should probably be doing the same thing.
I go to take off my current clothes, changing into a purple kimono with a pattern of white flowers, along with a white obi.
I then go into my bed and move Rio off his pillow and closer to me. I wish to protect this fox with everything, it trusts me more than I trust myself.. I start to drift off to sleep.
