As Simon entered the apartment, he looked around it with wide eyes. "Half of these things I've seen in museums…"

Kay sat down at the table, and Simon and I followed suit. "So. You came from the future."

"You came from the past."

"Because you came here, thus this is the present. So you're from the future, we're the present."

"I don't get it---" I started.

"I don't get it too," Simon said.

Kay opened his mouth slightly, and then shut it. "Anyway, that's not important. You came from the future."

"You asked that already---"

"Hush, Jordan. Anyway," Kay leaned forward, head bent to look at Simon, "why are you here?"

"I don't know!"

"To deliver a package?" Kay prompted.

"Well yeah… that's what they said. They gave me a bunch of packages, some forms, and then shoved me off to do some post work or something because the drones were down. This is the last package, I just had to deliver the package to Jordan then my work was done and I could go home but then---" Simon sighed, elbows on the table, head in his hands.

Kay and I exchanged looks.

"Why do you look so much like Shai?" I asked.

"I don't know, man. I was born like this? Coincidence?" Simon gestured wildly, and then he slammed his forehead against the table.

"Oi oi oi, don't do that!"

"You might get a swollen head or something, Simon."

"I thought if I slapped myself enough and banged my head I would wake up and find myself back at home but nope. I… Why is this happening? Now I can't go back?"

"What's that door you keep talking about?"

Simon mumbled something, his face against the table.

"He came from a door, then the door vanished."

"Were you hallucinating or something?"

"No, I swear! I saw it with my eyes!"

Simon sighed. "The Accessible Door works for anyone wearing this watch." He tapped his wrist, and a watch appeared. "Then you um summon it? Like it would appear when you do The Flick."

Kay and I blinked.

"Like. Like this thing." He propped his elbow on the table again, and did that jerky action, where he swung his wrist around a bit and shook hands with an imaginary person. "Oh wait yes, before you summon it, you need to key in the address you're going into your watch. Ok so after you open the door and walk through it, it'll bring you to that address. You do whatever you need to do, walk back through the door, and you'll reach home. Done! But now, I can't summon it back! And I don't know why!"
