Sofia the First: Sofia to the Rescue

Amber and James were having fun, having a snowball fight, while Sofia and Hugo were building a big snowman.

"Oh, it's the biggest snowman I've ever seen," giggled Sofia.

"I can't remember the last time Axel and I made a snowman like this," said Hugo.

"Wasn't that a year ago?" Axel asked.

"Oh, yeah," said Hugo. "We really gave Dad a good scare by making him think the snowman was alive."

"Yeah, he was almost scared to death," chuckled Axel.

"And we nearly laughed our heads off," giggled Hugo.

The brothers started laughing, remembering the funny memory.

Just then, Sofia was hit with a snowball.

"Sorry, Sofia," called Amber.

Sofia gave a mischievous smirk and tossed a snowball. "Snowball fight!" she cried.

The kids were having fun, running around and throwing snowballs.

But just then, something bad happened. Hugo was running to avoid getting hit by a snowball when he stepped on a puddle of ice and slipped. Sofia, Amber, James, and Axel ran over to help.

"Hugo, are you okay?" asked Sofia.

"Oh, it's my ankle," groaned Hugo.

"We'd better get you inside, baby bro," said Axel. He carefully cradled his little brother in his arms and carried him inside the palace.

When the quintet was in the palace, Axel carefully placed Hugo on his bed and gently removed his boot.

"Oh, that ankle looks a little swollen," said Axel. "Hold still." He carefully examined Hugo's ankle, and there was a sore spot near his foot.

"Can you wiggle your toes, baby bro?" Axel asked.

Hugo tried to wiggle his toes, but it only made his ankle hurt.

"We'll get an ice bag for that ankle," said a maid.

"And I'd better notify Mom and Dad right away," said Axel.

When the maid got an ice pack, Axel notified his parents about Hugo's injury.

"Mom and Dad said to summon Dr. Valentine immediately, but it looks like it'll be hard for her to get here with all that ice in the roads," said Axel. "It'll probably take a long time for her to get here."

Sofia knew that it would be hard for the doctor to get to the palace, but she knew Hugo needed help. She also knew that nobody was allowed to leave the palace, but she needed to do something—she decided to go and get the doctor and bring her to the palace. She wrote a note for Axel and bundled up warm.

"How's Hugo doing?" Sofia asked.

"He's sleeping right now," whispered Axel. "This castle may be big, but don't make a lot of noise."

"Okay," whispered Sofia.

As soon as Axel was gone, Sofia taped the note on the bedroom door, and she managed to sneak out of the palace without anybody seeing her.
