Sofia the First: Sofia to the Rescue

Sofia's Mission

Sofia went to the stables and saw Hugo's flying horse, Electra.

"Electra, I need you to take me somewhere," said Sofia. "We need to get to Dr. Valentine's office fast."

"Why?" Electra asked. "What's wrong?"

"Hugo hurt his ankle, and it won't be easy for the doctor to get here," said Sofia. "We have to leave discretely—his brother isn't supposed to give us permission to leave the palace."

"Okay, princess," said Electra. "Let's go."

Since the kings and queens had already taken a coach, Sofia and Electra had to take one of the old coaches. Sofia harnessed Electra to the coach, and away they flew. Luckily, nobody noticed them.

"Our families are in town, so we really have to be careful not to let them see us," said Sofia.

"Okay," said Electra. The Pegasus and the princess flew high in the sky to Dr. Valentine's office.

Pretty soon, Sofia made it to Dr. Valentine's office. "Dr. Valentine, I presume?" she asked.

"Yes, and you are..." Dr. Valentine said.

"Princess Sofia of Enchancia," said Sofia.

"Oh, good marrow, dear princess," said Dr. Valentine happily. "What can I do for you?"

"I don't know if you're aware, but Prince Hugo has been injured," said Sofia.

"Injured?" Dr. Valentine asked. "What happened to him?"

"He slipped on some ice and hurt his ankle," said Sofia. "I know the roads are icy, so I thought it would be easier to bring you to the palace."

"Thank you, princess," said Dr. Valentine. She gathered her equipment and got into the coach with Sofia.

"Back to the palace we go," said Sofia.

Electra flew up in the sky as high as she could. But before they knew it, it started to snow a little.

"Oh, we'd better hurry," said Sofia. She really hoped Axel didn't know she was gone.

Meanwhile, back at the palace, Axel was going to check on Hugo when he saw the note from Sofia on the bedroom door. When Axel read the note, he was shocked and exclaimed loudly , "Oh, no!"

Hearing Axel, Hugo was woken up. "Axel?" he called.

Just then, Amber and James came running over.

"What's going on?" Amber asked.

"What happened?" James asked.

"It's Sofia," said Axel. "She's gone!"

"What?" exclaimed the younger royals.

"Gone where?" Hugo asked.

"Down to the village," said Axel. "She's gone to get Dr. Valentine."

"But it's going to be dark soon," said Hugo. "It's already started snowing, and the snow will get heavier by sunset."

Just then, the kings and queens came in.

"That's right, Hugo," said Hugo and Axel's mother. "We came as fast as we could when Axel told us about your injury."

But the kings and queens could tell that something much worse has happened.

"What's wrong?" asked Roland.

"And where's Sofia?" asked Miranda.
