Meanwhile, the half of the season was played. And today on the 27th matchday it was the top game of the DEL against Munich. In this game I also met my rival in the young eagle Moritz Seidenberg. He had made the leap to the professional team in Munich. He was also the top scorer in Munich with 8 goals. I, on the other hand, had developed into one of the top assist providers at Mannheim, in addition to 3 goals I had prepared almost every goal of the Adler. Behind me is my teammate Markus Kink, our captain, one of the best scorers in the team. I had made many new friends, including Denis Reul, Dennis Endras, Tommi Huchtala, David Wolf, Markus Kink and Marcel Goc. We drove to Munich two days before the game. Reul started a song on the bus and everyone sang along. "Only the MERC will be German champions." The atmosphere in the team was great. The next day there was one last training session in the stadium. Our trainer's workouts were the worst. I had got used to this, but everything hurt afterwards. And it was that far. There was a final speech in the cabin. "Men, you know what is important today! Don't let the Munich team provoke you and avoid penalties, then we'll get to the top of the table." said Pavel Gross. Then Markus Kink took the floor. "Let's show the spoiled Munich residents that we are better. One, Two, Three. Let's Go Mannheim." it echoed through the cabin, then we went out onto the ice. The first third was tough. Munich tried to provoke us again and again, but they didn't succeed because we stayed cool. After 20 minutes it was still even despite several chances. In the second third we increased the pace again and the mood got heated, because whenever I had the Puck, I was checked for the gang. Inside I was boiling, but on the ice I stayed cool and made the first Goal without further ado. "Launspach has a lot to fight today. He is attacked by the Munich team as soon as he has the Puck. Now he grabs the Puck again and he is quick. Launspach in front of the goal, what does he do, does he shoot or pass the Puck. Launspach now with the pass to Huchtala. That's the Goal. What an overview, he didn't do it himself but present for Tommi Huchtala." said the commentator. After the second third it was still 1:0. There was one last speech in the cabin before the final third. "You are doing very well. That is exactly what I want to see from you, if we maintain this pace in the third period, then we will be leaders after this game." said Pavel Gross in the cabin. "One, Two, Three. Let's Go Mannheim!" it echoed through the cabin again. In the third third, the Munich team became even more aggressive, but we stayed cool and the Munich team got a 5 minute penalty. Moritz Seidenberg, my rival first got me off my feet and than with his stick in a duel and then he used it again as a weapon. We used the majority for the next Goal. David Wolf got the puck from the sweater and played it to me. I ran towards the Munich Goal and didn't give Danny aus der Birken a chance. "David Wolf with the Puck win for Mannheim. He plays the Puck to Julian Launspach and he can't be stopped again. Now he only has Danny aus der Birken in front of him. He shoots and that's the second Goal for the Mannheimers. No chance for aus der Birken. Launspach with his 4th goal of the season for Mannheim." said the commentator. In the last 30 seconds, Munich took out the goalkeeper and we took the chance to make the third Goal. I was also involved in this goal. I got the puck from the sweater and played it to Nico Krämmer. He played the Puck to David Wolf and he made the goal. In the end Dennis Endras got his second shootout and we deservedly won 3:0 in Munich. On Friday the Wolfsburg Grizzlys were guests in Mannheim and on matchday 31 there was the second Game against Munich in Mannheim.
