Sunlight slowly poured through the windows of her small but cozy bed rom. "Get up, you little bitch", her father, Thomas yelled from outside her room door. She sighed loudly and shouted in her head, "Can't you just go to work and leave me the hell alone?". She rolled out of bed reluctantly to get ready for school. She went into her bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror and was slightly amused at what she saw. Her long red hair was sticking out in all directions, her eyes looked small and beady like a crab's and her lips looked dry. Jamie cursed herself for not brushing her hair out.
She came out of the shower 10 minutes later and picked out an outfit. She chose a sheer white top with black leather leggings and her favourite black boots. She did her makeup lightly, a little mascara, blush and some lip gloss. Jamie threw on her clothes quickly and headed downstairs. She hoped her dad wasn't downstairs. She hated him. Luckily, he wasn't. She grabbed two granola bars and started the three block walk to school.
Fifteen minutes later, she reached her school, Hemingway High. She searched the hallways frantically for her best friend, Aaliyah. Aaliyah has been Jamie's best friend for as long as she can remember. She treated and loved Jamie like a sister. She only wanted the best for her friend. She located Aaliyah near her locker, and ran to her. "Ali!", she shouted. "I missed you so much!". Aaliyah chuckled, "Not as much much as I missed you." Aaliyah was tall, tanned, lean, but curvy in all the right places. She was every boy's fantasy on two long, tanned legs. The bell rung loudly, signaling that it was class time. "What do we have first?" Aaliyah asked. "History" I replied quickly. We walked quickly to History 2. We took our seats, next to each other, in the middle of the class, side by side. A minute later, Mr. Halloway walked into the classroom and greeted the class. "Today, we will be moving on to the Sugar Revolution". The whole class groaned in misery.
Suddenly, the class door opened and in stepped the one and only, Sean King, the school's bad boy. His brown hair was tousled, his bright blue eyes looked captivating but pained. Mr. Halloway said, "Nice of you to join us". Sean rolled his eyes. Sean pushed past and took his usual seat at the back of the class. As he passed Jamie, the most intoxicating scent hit her nostrils almost hypnotizing her. She sighed. The class went by rather quickly. Soon it was lunchtime, she and Aaliyah joined the cafeteria line to buy her lunch. She bought a bottle of Coke and a chicken sandwich wrap and salad. Aaliyah bought the same. They paid and went to their table to eat their lunches. Their friends Shelly, Danny, Brooks and Dayna were there. "Hey guys!", they all yelled. Aaliyah and Jamie sat down with the guys and began to talk. A couple minutes into the convo, Aaliyah leaned in to Jamie and said, "the Sean King is staring his living daylights at you!" . I looked and saw that Sean was indeed staring at me. As soon as our eyes met, he looked away. "What the hell was that?" Dayna inquired curiously. "I don't know".
