Prelogue

Prologue.

Holding a lighter to the corner of the photo, I watched as the flames licked the corners, slowly burning the photo and the memories attached to a charcoal grey, mirroring the exact way my heart was feeling.

It is every girls dream to have the school player fall for you and change their ways isn't it?

Well, it happened to me, and it left me heartbroken on more then one occasion.

I thought that Louis would be different, I fell for all the bullshit that he told me, and why?

Because that's what I wanted to believe. He made me feel special, but now I realise that's how he gets all the girls. He's clever, he always knows the right things to say or do to get any girl to fall for him.

I'm stupid! My head always knew not to get involved with him, it wasn't worth it, I would end up exactly like all the other girls. Heart-broken and betrayed.

But my heart told me to trust, to believe what he was saying on the off chance that it was all genuine. That he was actually falling for me.

I guess I let my heart win. What a mistake that was. Do you know what's worse?

The fact that I fell for him, I really, truly fell deeply in love with him. There's no going back now.

There's no taking back what happened, I gave him everything, my life, my attention, and most of all, my virginity.

Looking down, the photo was now a black ball in a fire pit, everything had been burned away.

I decided that I wouldn't waste any more of my life regretting my mistake, because at the time, it was exactly what I wanted.

I grabbed the jumper that Louis had given to me when I was cold. I slipped it on and thought back, trying to process every single second that he had been in my life.

The trees around me were beginning to get blurry as my water lines were filling up with an opaque liquid, I wiped the stray tears away. My eyes were starting to droop, enveloping me into a world of darkness. Giving in, I finally closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep.

So this is the start of my story, my journey of heartbreak and romance with a player. And how me, Selena, gave up everything for him, for Louis. Until he changed his mind...

So that's the prologue of my first fanfiction on this account, if you want me to post the first chapter let me know! Otherwise there's not really any point in putting hours of effort into this.  I want to know that people are reading it, so please comment, I don't care if it's good or bad, I just want to know someone out there is reading my stuff :)
