The sound of a horn blared through your open window. Your face scrunched up as you checked the window to see Monoma, smiling up at you. You could see him wink before he called out, "Come on Y/N! Don't leave me waiting!" It was summer now, and now he was showing a bit more skin. He wore a tank top and joggers, running shoes to go with the outfit.

"I'm coming!" You called back. You didn't get much sleep the night before, you kept tossing and turning all night, and once you did fall asleep you had a nightmare. Grabbing your bag, you pulled it up on your shoulder. Your phone in hand. You yelled out a bye to your mom.

The heat of the sun hit your skin, making you groan. The last thing you wanted right how was to be hot and sweaty, or dealing with the bugs that are going to be after you all night. But your mon already told Monoma that you would go camping with him, not really giving you a say on the first free weekend you had since school started. Your mom grew a liking for Monoma when the twins were born, he came to visit once she got home and even got her a Mother's Day gift, every year since. She sees him as her son now, and can't wait until we start "dating".

"Oh Neito! Have fun with Y/N this weekend!" She called out of the window, waving at him.

"Oh Mrs.L/N, you're looking as beautiful as ever! I promise she'll be safe with me!"

Neito was speaking the whole time, his right arm was on the middle console as if he was going to grab your hand, or put his hand on your thigh. You felt awful, honestly. You knew he had feelings for you, and even if he was a cocky bastard in front of his friends he was nice when it was just the two of you. But that's what pushed you away from him so much, you didn't want to date someone with two different persona's, god only knew what he would say to his friends when you weren't around.

You signed, your finger pushing the button to the window down. You leaned your head on the side of the car, allowing the wind to blow lightly onto your face. But what you mostly felt bad about was your mother giving Neito false hope. You tried bringing it to her attention multiple times, but of course she ignored you; only telling you how good he is and how he would be "good for you."

Especially when she did it right in front of him.

Neito set something in your lap, making you jump. Looking down, you noticed it was his phone, unlocked. You grabbed it, scrolling through Spotify until picked the song (insert song). The beat played, making you nod your head. You could see out the corner of your eye that Neito was smiling now. The feeling of guilt started to bubble inside you, you knew that Neito wanted to spend some quality time together, and all you did was ignore him.

The chorus was about to start one you pulled yourself out of your thoughts, taking a deep breath, you sung your heart out to the song, along with Neito who now his arm behind your headrest as he drove.

Your arms were now full of sticks, poking your skin as you quickly tried to get back to the camp sight. Neito was already back, putting his sticks in the fire. "Here you go," you smiled at him, letting him take a few sticks and put it in the fire.

"Step back, I don't want you getting burnt." He stated, grabbing more to stick into it. You huffed, taking a step back. The fire slowly started to grow, the sound of the wood cracking from the head was like music to your ears. You felt so calm being in nature.

"We can use the test when it starts to go out again," Neito stated, grabbing the sticks from your hand and setting them down. You didn't know how to reply, but Neito was looking at you. You turned to look at the water. It sucked, honestly. You always had strong feelings for Neito, when of course, he wasn't with his friends. If he didn't act like a completely different person in front of everyone, he would've been your ideal type and you wouldn't cringe at all the childhood memories that used to give you butterflies.
