My hands are sweating like I've been stuck on a room without a single window on it. I opened the door with my shaky hands, and slowly stepped out of the Role Royce vehicle. My knees were like jellies and I doubt I could make it to the front porch with these knees. I felt someone's presence beside me and a tug on my hand.
"Alexis, it's going to be fine," he said while placing a hand on my shoulder.
"I'm nervous as heck, you know? I should've listened to my instincts and didn't come!" I yelled in a whispered voice.
He chuckled, "It's too late now. You're here already, you can't back out," He said with a stupid smirk on his face.
I told you! You shouldn't have come, now this Christmas would be so freaking awkward! A voice said in my head.
I know but Justin's right, no matter how unfortunate it sounded, I can't back out now. The fact that I don't have my car with me is a proof already.
You still shouldn't have come. My subconscious retorted.
Oh! Shut up!
You may say it now. That I am weird, but yeah. I'm just like other people who have some stupid fights in their brain especially when you have a decision to make.
"Having an internal battle?" Justin said while nudging my shoulders. I glared at him.
"I'm nervous like... I don't know and you're making me feel like a fool by what you said," I said while glaring.
He threw his hands up in the air to surrender, "I was just trying to make you feel better. I guess my attempt failed. My bad."
I smiled, "Douche," I muttered.
"No bad mouthing," he said and held my wrist, "We gotta go inside. It's getting cold out here. And they've been waiting."
He was dragging me onto his front porch while my feet seemed numb. Before I know it, we reached his porch, facing the front door. My heart beat so loudly and in an abnormal pace. Damn, can I just be dead now?
Justin folded his right hand into fist and knocked it on the door. After a few moments, a tall guy with a fifteen-yearold-Justin-Bieber-hairstyle but longer. "Justin, man!" The guy said and made a secret shake hand that I could never understand with Justin.
"Chazzy boy!" Justin said. Then another guy appeared, a tall one too.
"Justin!" The guy said, doing the same secret handshake with Justin.
"Hey, man!" Justin said.
I was standing beside Justin like a stupid mannequin. His left hand still gripping on my right hand.
The guy named Chaz eyed me from head-to-toe. Then his eyes stared in Justin's hand that was gripping on my right wrist. He cleared his throat as he rested his weight on the door frame. His eyebrows rose up and down.
"Who's this beautiful girl with yah?" Chaz said.
"Mm, this is Alexis," Justin said and faced me, "Alexis, this is Chaz and Ryan," Justin introduced while pointing the guys with their respected names.
"Hi," I said shyly at them.
"Hello, Alexis!" Ryan and Chaz said in unison. Then I saw Chaz nudging Ryan on the side. They were probably talking with their eyes. Ryan's brows furrowed and followed Chaz gaze that was on Justin's left hand. His eyes had gone wide.
"Dude, why didn't you tell us you got a girlfriend already?" Chaz said accusingly.
Uh-oh. Not gonna happen.
