A badly written Kalbedo fanfiction

"PLEASE.. JUST END THIS-"

Kaeya looked down at Albedo, sighing slightly lowering his sword before looking over at Klee. She was hugging one of her plushies so innocently in the middle of the road... He couldn't just kill Albedo in front of her.. He couldn't kill him at all. Kaeya opened his mouth to begin speaking before Jean ran over to Klee, picking her up and running off with her behind a building. Kaeya stood there for a moment before Albedo slowly stood up, mumbling to himself "A child.. really? As to think I'd let myself be defeated that easily.. stop being so weak." Kaeya quickly turned to face Albedo after hearing his mumbling, to find his sword was back up to his neck. He looked down at the sword before looking back at Albedo, who had his sinister smile back on - God, Kaeya hated that smile... - The captain took a step back bringing his sword up to Albedos, recommencing the duel.

They were both quite experienced in swordsmanship and they both were very familiar with the blade, as knights they were expected to be. They were able to read each other's moves to a tee, blocking, dodging, and attacking at the perfect times... Their duel was no longer about who was stronger,, but who would slip up first. The rest of the knights continued to fend off Albedos creations, Diluc had joined in the fight at this point, after all, Mondstadt was his home as well and he also took partial responsibility in keeping it safe, despite not being a knight.

~~ Behind some other building ~~

Jean quietly hummed a tune as she held Klee, gently swaying her from side to side. She was confused and scared. What was happening to Albedo?

"Master Jean... Why was Albedo on the ground? Why is everything so scary..."

"That was not Albedo... hey.. Remember the story Kaeya told you about the monsters that pretend to be knights? Well, that's what's going on right now... Don't you worry the real knights are taking care of it..."

"... So, that was a monster? Where's the real Albedo?? We have to save him!"

"Don't worry Klee, Kaeya will save him... I think Kaeya is the only person who knows him well enough to do so..."

"I want to save him too!"

"It's okay... Just stay here with me. All will be okay"

"... Okay..."

The duel went on for a while after, going all around the town trying to catch each other off guard until Kaeya got himself in an alleyway.. A moment of solitude when he could think clearly... If he recalled correctly when he read about the legend it mentioned how the sword itself is the source of his power... either he could kill Albedo which would mean the beholder of the curse would die, momentarily getting rid of the threat, or he could destroy the sword which would hopefully get rid of the curse and spare Albedo... Although the sword was made to last so he'd need more elemental power to be able to destroy it... Perhaps people of every element... He could get everyone from each vision to come together and try to destroy the sword... although that'd be quite difficult under the specific circumstances he was in at the moment. Either way, he had to get a start on it now.. Albedo hadn't found him for a few minutes and he had to move anyways.. First order of business would have to get Albedo away from the sword.. He made his way over to the bigger area of the town where around him where the rest of the knights, vaguely telling Lisa about the sword and the curse and his plan to destroy it before heading over to the centre.. He slowly turned around trying to find Albedo before he suddenly came up behind him
"Found you~"
"Ah- Yes yes... You did. Despite our efforts it seems our little duel isn't doing much is it... How about we both switch out swords"
"Hm? Why would that change anything"
"Switch hands too... Maybe.. One hand only?"
Albedo lowered his sword tilting his head slightly in confusion
"I don't understand"
"This is booooring. We need to add a little bit of spice"
"You're joking right-"
Kaeya smiled and walked closer to Albedo, placing his sword in his other hand.
"Nooooo I'm serious!"
He slowly put his now free hand on Albedos hand- the hand that was holding the sword - And tried to move the sword. The Alchemist continued to look at Kaeya in confusion gently trying to pull his hand away from Kaeya's, just for him to strengthen his grip
"It's been a while since I've seen you this close.. You do know you're gorgeous right? I mean your Blonde hair.. blue eyes... You're very admirable and I truly do love you... Please know that everything I do is for the sake of you.. I'd like to keep you as long as I can... So please,,, Forgive me."
Kaeya quickly pushed Albedo backwards unto a wall before pushing him down onto the ground, Taking the sword from him.. there was a terribly strong energy from it,, similar to the papers in Dragonspine.. But Stronger. He quickly dropped the sword, Looking at Albedo who reached for it weakly, before kicking it back with his foot out of Albedos reach. Albedo looked up at Kaeya and The captain simply smiled at him, turning around and walking to the sword... Crouching down next to it, he examined it trying to find a weak spot to strike it at
"Darling~ I've brought them.."
Kaeya turned to see a few people, Lisa, Jean, Diluc, Barbara, and Noelle... Noelle? Wasn't she a maid- Whatever.
They stood around the sword, preparing to strike it as Kaeya just went over where to hit..
Using her magic, Lisa lifted the sword as to make it easier to hit.

With a loud crash, they all went for it. Using their elemental powers to strike it... There was a bright light that shone for a second before a bright pink light ascended from the now shattered sword, up into the sky and seemingly into Dragonspine... Once it reached there, a red wave went over the sky before the creatures Albedo had created became lifeless and the crisis ended...

Kaeya turned around to look at Albedo, who was laying on the ground where he had left him.. He looked really weak and hurt, quickly Kaeya went over to him, holding him close and brushing the hair off his face with his hand..

Albedo looked at Kaeya and began crying

"I didn't mean it... I didn't. Please... I-I'm sorry... I tried"
Kaeya held him closer, hugging him tightly, whispering in his ear "I know... it's not your fault... Please... I know you didn't want to.."
Kaeya and Albedo remained like this for a few minutes, before Albedo pulled away from his hug, placing his hands on the side of Kaeya's gently kissing him (cring)

Barbara and Jean walked over to them, Jean placing her hand on Kaeya's shoulder and Barbara stood next to her
"How about you take him to the cathedral? I'm sure Barbara can take care of him from here.."
Kaeya reluctantly agreed, insisting of staying by his side but as he realized in what bad condition Albedo was in,, He figured it best to let Barbara take care of it...

He watched as they took Albedo away to the Cathedral, remaining in the spot he was in at the road... So many things were rushing through his head... The road was empty.. everyone was inside their houses... How was life in Mondstadt going to be after this with Albedo... Were the people ever going to be able to forgive... Part of him wanted to leave Mondstadt.. Suddenly, someone reached out their hand to him and he slowly looked up
"Y'know.. I'm not the biggest fan of the knights.. But you saved us so,, Thank you, brother."
Diluc and Kaeya shared a hug before Diluc left, and Kaeya slowly walked over to the headquarters.
