Author's Note: Ok, So I just realised that calling them a gang seems too weird and as if they have a harmful motive or something like that. So I have decided to call them GROUP until they take on the name Marauders.
After ensuring that Remus was all right for a whole week, the group decided that it was finally time to prank people. Many Slytherin students had been bullying Remus when they were not around and unknown to them, the group was watching them.
They decided that Remus deserves revenge. So, on Saturday, they sneaked into the Slytherin common room using James' Invisibility Cloak and painted it red, blue and yellow. They were careful not to break any objects or displace anything. Then, they returned to their common room where Remus was waiting to quietly open the door without waking anybody.
When the Slytherins woke up the next morning, they were shocked to find their common room coloured. Professor Slughorn reversed the spells in a minute but the entire great hall had a earful during breakfast. The group wasn't satisfied yet. They made a plan to prank the whole Hogwarts this time. They sneaked into all the other houses and magically painted the clothes of the houses. The black part of Gryffindor's cloaks were turned Red, Slytherin's was turned Green, Hufflepuff was yellow and Ravenclaw was Blue.
On seeing this, Dumbledore said, "Wow, I did not expect to see such a colourful day today." while hiding his giggles. The entire crowd laughed at this while Dumbledore reversed the spell with magic in an instance.
Sirius had been hiding a secret for the first 2 weeks now. And he wasn't aware that today was the day it would be revealed. He had finally written to his mother about his sorting after getting an owl each day asking about it. She was already furious at Sirius for not telling her right away.
After a few minutes of settling down and having breakfast, the owl post arrived. A howler dropped on Sirius' plate and Sirius was forced to open it knowing the circumstances if he didn't. Walburga Black's voice filled the entire hall.
"I am absolutely disgusted that you have been sorted into Gryffindor instead of Slytherin. Of course, you didn't tell me that you were sorted into Gryffindor. You knew you that you would be a shame to the family on not being sorted into Slytherin. What type of an example are you setting for Regulus? There is no need at home for a Gryffindor like you during the breaks. Don't send us a letter. We wouldn't want something from a Gryffindor coming into this pure Slytherin household. We will collect you from King's Cross at the end of the educational year but you can go live at your friends' house after a few days that is if you make any."
Sirius was in tears and completely embarrassed. The group tried to comfort him but before they could say anything, Sirius ran out of the hall. The group followed him to the common room but he locked the door magically to their dormitory so that nobody could come in. He wouldn't come out of the room and all others wanted to know whether he was ok and that he hadn't done anything wrong.
