Chapter 23

Alex woke up with a pounding headache and an aching body or should I say painful body. Pain stabbed at him. It was excruciating. Blood slipped out from his wounds. When he was brought here he was tortured but they wanted to keep him alive for as long as possible to make him suffer. Alex felt like giving up. It was so painful. It's killing him. Pff. What am I talking about they want him to die painfully! It wouldn't matter if he died during a torture. As long as his last breath was a painful one, it doesn't matter.
Alex's arms were throbbing from the long period of having to hang onto his weight. He was being suspended from the ceiling. He was sure every single spot on his body is either bruised, cut, or burnt. The door swung open and a man paced towards him, grinning. "Well, well. This is such a beautiful sight." The man said in a sickly sweet and pretend innocent voice. Alex was fighting to stay awake. The blood loss was too much. The pain was too much. Everything in general was too much to bare. "I just thought something that would guarantee that your last breath is painful." The guy said as his grin widened. It looked almost too big on his face. The guy kicked Alex, hard, in the chest. Pain exploded from Alex's chest as his rib bone broke and punctured his lung. Or maybe a few bones broke. He doesn't know. Or maybe both lungs are punctured. He doesn't know. He can't look inside his body. He knows that one had punctured his skin. The white jagged bone stuck out a little and blood poured from the new wound. "It was a pleasure meeting you. You're by far the first one that has endured that amount of torture and is still alive even though barely. And to make things more interesting, you're the youngest one that I've ever had to torture." The guy said and he ordered the guards to bring Alex down and drag him to his cell to die.
