BLAKE
I tie my hair up and play with my dress self-consciously as I stare at myself in the mirror. I could hear Calum helping my mum set the table downstairs, and when I looked behind me I could see
Luke and Michael embraced in one another arms, whispering sweet nothings to each other. Their love reminded me of a burning flame, but one that will never go out."Hey," I interrupt their moment, frowning. "Did Calum mean it when he said he didn't like me? Or did he mean it? That he would never date me?"
"Blake," Luke said sternly, a wry smile on his lips, "You have a boyfriend so why does it matter?"
He had moved out of Michael's arms and was now walking towards me, so I took a step back and placed my arms over my chest in an angry matter. "Don't dodge the question. I can take whatever you have to say"
"Luke has a point, B" Michael spoke up nervously, shrugging when I glared at him, "Will it really matter whether or not he likes you? Although you can't see him, you still have Ashton"
I huffed and fell back onto my bed, my eyes flicking to the ceiling and then back to the boys. "I know," I sigh, "But he made it out like he hates me, and I don't want him to hate me"
Luke laughed loudly, his head falling back as his laugh echoed through the room, probably being heard from downstairs. "God, Calum certainly does not hate you, far from it actually"
Before I could ask what he meant, Calum walked in, glaring at Luke for a moment before his soft, brown eyes travelled to my face, "Dinner's ready"
Luke and Michael grinned and rushed towards the door, bounding down the stairs. Calum stared at me for a moment, like he was going to say something, but I smiled tightly and tried to follow Luke and Michael downstairs. As I passed him, Calum caught my arm, causing me to stop in my tracks.
"Blake," He whispered, his eyes tired and sad, "Why are you ignoring me?"
I frowned. "I'm not? I talk to you all the time, and I rarely talk to Muke outside of school so I'm just trying to bond with them"
"You've hardly spoken to me all night" He muttered angrily as he turned and walked away from me. I stood frozen for a second but then I heard my mum call me and my feet began working again, dragging me down to what was probably going to be an awkward dinner.
After a somewhat weird dinner, the boys and I retreated back to my room. Calum tried talking to me, but I would speak over him each time. "Hey, Blake, I'll get Ashton another phone as well," Luke said, smiling innocently.
"Why?" I ask, my hand playing with my hair absently.
"Just in case," Luke panicked a little, his eyes looking anywhere but me, "Just in case your mum thinks you're texting him secretly and I don't know, asks to check his phone"
I narrowed my eyes, not believing that would happen before letting out a sigh, nodding. "Okay, fine. Don't spend too much though, alright?"
Luke grinned, "Of course not"
