En Route from Cardiff Central Station to Paddington Station, London

Eddy, clad in his grey suit, handed the taxi driver money before turning to his fiance and threw an apologetic smile. Bobby bit his lip anxiously and swayed back and forth on the heels of his feet as the wind danced between them both.

"I'm really sorry that I dragged us all the way here," Eddy frowned. "I didn't even ask-"

Bobby captured the suited man's hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "At least I'll be able to meet your family now."

"I wish you didn't," Eddy sighed with a small smile.

"Well, too bad, mister. We're going on that train and I'll get to see all the posh things you were used to before you met me."

Bobby's eyes fluttered to their surroundings as he carefully watched the people who passed. The couple barely left the comfort of their cottage in the village and the amount of noise that enveloped them now was overwhelming.

"I don't think I've been back to the city since we started courting," Bobby admitted with his cheeks stained pink. "I sometimes miss those days."

"Me too," Eddy sighed before trailing his hand to the small of his fiance's back to lead them through the station.

They bought two tickets and rushed through the dimly lit tunnels towards the sounds of trains stopping and mindless chatter. Weaving through people with large bags, carrying children and rushing businessmen along the platform, the couple successfully found their train right on time.

They made sure to mind the gap, stepping through the entrance of the locomotive and finding two seats side by side just as the train began to move.

Eddy wrung his fingers together and bit the inside of his lip as he willed the train to go faster. The night was approaching and he didn't have time to mess around. Not when everything was at stake.

His whole past had begun to catch up to him, encasing the grey-suited man into a dangerous time-warp where everything was at stake now.
