Water droplets constantly fell upon her temple. "I'm tired of this... I'm tired of this bullshit..." Y/N spoke lowly. She sat on the floor of her bathtub, allowing herself to relax, listening as the water from the showerhead constantly fell. "I don't wanna be here anymore." This isn't the first time she's thought like this. "If I died, at least I wouldn't have to put up with this shit. I'm tired... so tired" she whispered to herself. Y/N knew deep down that she could never kill herself. She was too scared of the pain she might feel. "What was my fault? I don't even know what the hell they were talking about..." Y/N didn't care that much anyway. She knew her stepdad was just going to give her a fake apology later. "What a dick" she growled. She stood up and poured shampoo onto her hand, sternly washing her hair to make sure all of it gets covered in soap.
...
What was Y/N's relationship with her 'father'? Bakugo constantly asked himself this question. She doesn't seem to like him very much, considering the few times where he'd enter her room, he awkwardly asked if she wanted to try some sort of spicy snack. She, in return, awkwardly declined. He sometimes entered her room yelling at her about her dog and she'd give him a dirty look once he walked away. Conclusion: she hates him. Bakugo understood why now. That man was clearly abusive. 'She wouldn't care, right? I mean, I know I wouldn't...' Bakugo stayed in thought, wondering if he really should kill this man, and if Y/N would be happier after the fact. Bakugo walked out of the bedroom, stopping in the middle of the hallway upon hearing a few faint voices. 'Her parents are probably talking it over. Damn bastard just let his anger out on Y/N.' He walked closer to her parent's bedroom, gently putting his ear against the door.
"I'm sorry babe, you know how stressful it is with work. I'm just tired, ya know?"
"I don't want to hear it, Pete! I'm tired of you always throwing Y/N into the argument! She never does anything yet you always yell at her for no reason! What the fuck is your problem?!"
"Tch" Bakugo didn't need to eavesdrop any longer, as he already lost interest. He turned his back towards the bedroom door, and began walking towards Y/N's room, deciding to wait there until she got out of the shower.
...
...
He grabbed his car keys, opening then shutting the front door to the house, not caring if it was locked or not. Getting into the driver's seat of his grey car, inserting the key; he drove off. He didn't want to apologize to that 'bitch of a daughter.' Ever since her mother, Dianne, told him about her pregnancy with Y/N when he was in prison, he promised himself to never truly accept her as his own. Sure, he bought her things, but that was just so he could get Dianne off his ass. As Y/N grew older, she started to get more of an attitude, and he hated it. He hated her. "Ungrateful bitch; I'm the only dad she has" Pete spat. He took a turn, leading towards a small liquor store. After parking, he walked inside the small 'Open 24-hours' store, planning to buy a case of beer. After paying, he got back in his car, driving towards and parking in a McDonald's parking lot. He opened the case, drinking one, then two; he drank till he could hardly see clearly. His thoughts becoming fuzzy, he did the one thing no one should ever do while intoxicated: drive. "Stupid ass little girl; I should've l-let Dianne get an abortionn-uh." He spoke in slurs, somehow managing to maneuver his way past cars and make his back home. "Fucking...shitty keyss" he kneeled down to pick up the key to the house. He struggled to get the key in; he eventually got the door to open.
He slammed it open in drunken anger. "Dianne! I'm s-sorry BABEE!~" he yelled....
...
...
Y/N woke up, head lifting up quickly, her eyes having shot open out of shock. "What...?" Y/N whispered. The sudden slam of a door and yelling must've woken Bakugo up too, since he immediately popped his head out of her closet. "What the fuck was that?" he asked. "I don't know..." Y/N answered. She felt uneasy, her heart slightly racing.
"Babe?! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!"
Y/N wanted to hide under her sheets, she wanted to stop existing for just that moment. 'Please don't come in here; don't ask me about my mom'
Her mother had gone to her mom's house so that she could cool off.
"WHERE IS DIANNE, YOU BITCH?!"
She jinxed herself.
He slammed open her door, demanding to know where her mother was. "I-I don't know..." she spoke in a low voice. She tried to remain strong, but she easily broke under pressure. "TELL ME WHERE THE FUCK SHE IS, YOU LYING SHIT!" he yelled, his white face soon becoming a shade of red, somewhat comically. "I don't know!" Y/N was scared; he looked extremely upset and she didn't know why, doubling her fear. "You know what? I'm SICK of y-yourr SHIT!" He stomped away, making his way towards the garage.
Shortly after, her little brother came in. "Why is he so mad, Y/N? Where's mom?" he asked, looking uneasy as well. "I don't know!" she yelled, her tears beginning to pour for the second time that night. Bakugo silently watched. Nate stood near her doorway, hoping that she wouldn't tell him to leave; he wanted to stay near someone he feels a little comfortable with. The slam of the garage door alerted the three. "Where-"YELP
"Is that Dex??" Nate turned to Y/N, his face showing one of confusion and fear. Y/N needed a second to register that yelp. "OH MY GOD, DEX!!!"
Y/N ran to the garage, not even bothering to put shoes on. Bakugo quickly followed after her. She could hear the painful cries of her beloved companion. She quickly opened the garage door to see Pete beating her dog to death with a dumbbell. "NOOOOO!!! STOP IT, STOP IT!" She screamed. She ran towards him, hitting him with the little strength she had in her weak, tired body. "GET THE FUCK OFF ME!" he punched her, causing her to fall back. "AUGHH!"
She curled on her stomach, gasping for air. Bakugo couldn't watch anymore. He quickly ran to the kitchen, grabbing a kitchen knife from the knife holder. He sprinted towards Pete, his eyes dull, appearing to hold no emotion. Pulling the knife back, he stabbed him.
"WHAT THE FU- AGH!"Again.
"UGHGH-UH!"
And again.
"FUCKING-"
STAB
"BITCH!"
STAB
He finally snapped.
Y/N felt light-headed. She couldn't see what was happening, but she could hear everything. "Haah, uh-ugh" she was struggling to breathe. That punch to the gut was a new experience to her, and she wasn't liking it. The screaming had finally come to an end, panting being the only sound left. Suddenly, she felt a liquid make contact with her foot. Her sight slightly clear, she tried to pick herself up. "Ow! Uhuhuh..." her stomach still hurt. "Y/N, don't move. This piece of garbage punched you pretty hard" Bakugo said. Finally remembering why she took that punch, she forced herself to sit up straight, or at least tried to. Taking deeper breaths, she tried again, doing her best to ignore the pain she felt in her body. She slowly turned her head towards the small open cage her dog should be in.
"Y/N wait--don't look!".
.
.
Her blood ran cold. "No...
NO!
NO!
NO!!
NOOOOO!!!!!!
GOD PLEASE, WHY?!!"
Dex lay in a puddle of his and Pete's blood. His doggy face was bloody, his white fur taking on a reddish almost pink hue. His ribs appeared to be broken. Y/N slowly scoot towards him; Bakugo just sat in silence. She slowly picked up his corpse, cradling him, not caring if she got more blood on her clothes. Gently petting his head, she sobbed. "I-I'm so s-saw-sorry! I'm sorryy!! DEX!!!" Bakugo slowly moved towards her, hugging her figure from behind. "You're okay now. You don't have to hurt anymore. I'll be here for you..." Bakugo whispered to her. "W-what?" Y/N turned her head towards him."Y/N... I love you. I'm in love with you."
"Huh? B-but why--"
Y/N couldn't finish her sentence, because Bakugo had tilted her head towards his, connecting their lips together.
