My Love -A Bughead Story

Month 1, The Beach (1)

FIRST MONTH -

Betty's Point Of  View:

It is the first month of the four I have left, today we all planned to go to the lake off of Sweetwater river, it is a private lake that no one knows about but us. I wake up in Jugheads bed and feel these strong arms wrapped around my body, this warm brush of breath coming from, Jughead Jones. I flutter my eyes open to see Juggie sound asleep, he looks so peaceful, cute, but goddamn hot. I check the time and see it is 9am, we slept in an hour later then we should've. In that moment I want to start getting ready for the lake so, I squirm my way out of Jugheads arms and I sit up to grab my phone and text the others that we might be a bit late. We all planned to meet at the lake for 10 but knowing Jug and I, it might take longer than we have to get ready. I look back at Jughead when I hear a soft groan, "betts- what are you doing, come back to bed." He mumbles, still with his eyes closed. "Juggie, we have to get ready to go to the lake with everyone, we slept in an hour past 8. I am going to go shower, then you will shower next. So get up and out of bed for when I'm out." I tell him. "Roger that captain." He chuckles. I lean over top of him and plant a slight peck on his cheek and then head of to the bathroom to take a shower. 

Jughead's Point Of  View: 

After Betty leaves I sit up, laying my back on the headboard well opening up my phone, I check instagram to see a picture of Kevin and Betty from when they were kids, he captioned it saying 'love my bestfriend' tagging Betty. I like the post and put my phone down on the bed, about 10 minutes after Betty comes out with her naked body wrapped up in a dark blue towel with her hair all wet. I walk over to her and give her a kiss on the forehead, then I whisper in her ear knowing she loves it when I do that and say "you look beautiful betts" and walk over to the shower. I wash my body and hair and then get out of the shower, I tie the towel around my waist then I put toothpaste on mine and Betty's toothbrushes and put mine in my mouth and go back to my room and hand Betty hers. "Thanks" Betty says with a smile, taking the toothbrush from my hands and putting it in her mouth, then brushing her pearly whites clean. I go back to the bathroom to finish brushing my teeth, I mouthwash, and then I go back to the bedroom with the towel on my waist still. I see Betty sitting on the bed with two bathing suits in front of her, face timing Veronica, asking what bathing suit she should wear. I walk over to her and look at her options, I see a full piece pink and orange patterned one and then I see a blue bikini with yellow daisies on them, "I like this one" I say well pointing at the blue bikini. Betty looks up at me and smirks then Veronica says "me too, b" through the phone. "Ok, then that's the one." Betty says still smiling at me, when she hangs the phone up she smirks and gets off the bed well wrapping her arms around my topless body, "I love you." She tells me and smiles, I feel a big grin slowly come across my face, I grab her by the waist lifting her up and she wraps her legs around me, I carry her over to the bed well giving her small but love-fulled kisses. "I love you too" I say breathless, hovering over top of her. "Jughead! Move, we're going to be late!" Betty squeals well trying to get out from under me. "Fineee" I say, dragging the 'e'. I get off from on top of her and she goes back to the bathroom to put her toothbrush back. I get changed into a blue pair of swimshorts, the same shade of blue as Betty's bikini and she gets into her bikini, she throws my grey 'S' shirt on top and grabs a black pair of jean shorts slipping them on over her bottoms. I make my way to the kitchen grabbing the beach bag that we packed yesterday and she comes up from behind me grabbing the snack bag, we put our sandals on and head out the door, closing it and locking it behind us. We get into Betty's car, putting out bags in the backseat, I get into the drivers seat and Betty sits her self into the passengers seat. I start the car and we drive off to the lake. 

Betty's Point Of  View: 

When we get to the lake I see Fangs and Kevin (acting like the married couple they are) setting up a shade tent, I see Sweet Pea setting up everyone's chairs and I see Veronica grabbing the towels. I run up to them with the snack bag in my hand "I got the snacks!!" I shout, everyone cheers because no one had breakfast. Veronica gives me a hug and grabs the bag from my hand "Jug's got our beach bag" I tell her well letting go of her and walking over to under the tent. "Hey guys!" I say waving at Cheryl and Toni pulling up behind everyone in Cheryl's cherry red convertible. Everyone looks over and waves at them well they get out grabbing their beach bag and pops breakfast. "We got breakfast!" Toni says walking over to us, "YES!" Jughead shouts from behind me well placing a hand on my neck making me jump a little. I look over and chuckle. "I told you it's always best to be fashionably late." Cheryl says well moving her hair from her face and taking her boogie sunglasses off.  We eat the pop's they brought and then I take off Jughead's shirt and my shorts and run to the lake well laughing, I hear someone laughing behind me and look back to see Veronica coming with Toni and Kevin, we all hook hands and jump off the dock and right into the lake, shouting and laughing. I lift my head from under the water to see Jughead gazing at me with a smile, "I love you!!" He yells, I laugh and look back at Toni, Veronica and Kevin who are all giving me the 'ooooh' grin. I burst into laughter and say "stoppp"well splashing them. "Oh that's how you want to go?" Kevin laughs splashing me back, we end up having a splashing war when someone jumps into the water making a huge splash. All the sudden I am pulled under the water and held into someone arms, I get thrown up in the air well dying of laughter, not one bit scared. When I land back into the water I see Jughead watching me well laughing. I splash him well saying "asshole" and he says "the cutest asshole" in a baby voice which makes me weak. I nod, "the cutest asshole indeed." 

Kevin's Point Of  View: 

Bughead is literally the cutest ever! Veronica, Toni and I are just watching them splash each other well making the cutest giggling noises ever. We stare in aw, shortly after we realise we have been staring for so long and look at each other and laugh. "They are so cute!!" I squeal, "I know!" Veronica replies. Jughead and Betty look over at us still smiling and Betty says "you know we can hear you right?" We all laugh. Shortly after everyone gets into the lake and we just swim around, splashing, talking, having fun. I didn't even think about Betty's sickess, that was until we went to get a snack. We all headed back out of the lake and went under our shade tent, each of us sitting on chairs, Betty and Jughead sharing one (Betty sitting on his lap), Cheryl and Toni beside each other, with Veronica on Toni's right beside Sweet Pea and then Fangs and Me beside them. Betty jumps off Jughead's lap and makes a high pitch squeal, she gets up and grabs the snack bag "snacks anyone" she says cheerfully. "is that even a question?" Jughead replies with a smirk. She walks over to him and lets him pick something out of the bag, he grabs a bag of Doritos and opens them up. "We brought all kinds of chips, fruit and veggie trays, crackers, gatorades, waters and some alcohol for later." Betty says smirking. "Sounds delicious, can I get a bag of Doritos too?" Sweets asks, "Of course" Betty says handing him a bag. She then sets the snack bag in the center of us and says, "get whatever you'd like! just save the alcohol for later" "Sounds great, thanks B" Veronica says well grabbing the Veggie tray. We are all having snacks and laughing when Veronica was sharing something funny about Betty and her childhood, Betty bursts into laughter and doesn't stop, she is soon coughing and grabbing her neck, she looks over at Jughead and runs too the trees on the other side of tent, Jughead chasing after her. I run after her as well to see poor Betty coughing up blood, and that's when I remembered she was dying. I push back the tears to stay strong for Betty, I wrap my arms around her and when she finished coughing she stood up and gave me a hug, she started crying into my shoulder, as I let her. Well I was still, fighting back tears. We took a few minutes then Jughead gave her a kiss and caressed her shoulder, then reaching out for her hand. We all walked back to see everyone staring at Betty, some tearing up, some shocked, and some I couldn't read. We sat down and it was silent. Like we would be able to hear a penny drop, silent.
