"Today's gonna be a good day."
That's what Billy always says, but this time he knows today will be.
And why wouldn't it be?
The sun's shining, the birds singing, the plants are growing, he's feels his magic coursing through his veins stronger than ever. He even got a good 6 hours of sleep. He doesn't really get more than 4 these days. Especially, with all of the League meetings and mystical, magical, crime rates going higher for some reason.(Klarion said it had something to do with season changing, Billy doesn't really get it.) But since they rounded up the last of the dangerous ones last night, Billy guessed he was going to have a really uneventful day, in the superheroing department anyway
And not to Billy's surprise, it was. There was really nothing but a few muggings and robberies, super uneventful but still exciting in a way. Billy's pretty sure the one thing he would never get tired of is being a hero. Being able to help others in ways he wasn't before. Being Captain Marvel helps him do that. And sure sometimes things get kinda bloody and gruesome, but it could also be very warming. And speaking of warming, Billy has an appointment in Metropolis. An appointment with Wonder Woman, also known as Diana Prince and Billy's kinda pseudo sister.
It's kind of amazing how much their relationship changed just from a conversation that happened last week.

(FLASHBACK)
"Soooo, what you got planned for your day off?" Green Latern AKA Hal, asked as he leaned back with his feet on the table.
The League just got finished their meeting on how to stop all of the crimes and such, and estimated that they would be able to stop most of it in about a week.
"It's not a day off, Hal. It's just gonna be a slow day."
"Slow day, Day off, same thing, Bear."
"Sure." Barry drawled out.
"Just tell me what you got planned."
"I was just going to spend it with Iris, Wally, Bart, you know...just some time with the family."
"Nice." Hal grinned. "What about you, Vic?"
"My pops actually gets to have a break too. I just hope that mine's gonna be on the same day. It's been a while since we actually got to hang out."
"Since we're on a roll here, I guess I'll go see my sister. I haven't been able to see her recently, but hey...Later is better than never." Barry and Victor snorted at the man's response.
"Whatcha talking about?"
The trio turned around to see Captain Marvel with a cheesy smile across his face.
"Just about what we're doing for our day off."
"For the last time, Hal. It's a slow day, not a day off."
"It basically means the same thing."
"It doesn't."
"But how would-"
As the two continued the ridiculous argument Victor turned to Marvel, drowning them out.
"So what you got planned?"
Cap sat down next to the cyborg, making a humming sound as he thought of his answer.
"Just the regular, you know. Patrolling the streets, fighting bad guys, locking them up."
