a/n: Look, guys... I'm trying to update my two unfinished fics a lot, but my lazy self won't let it happen. As a result, here I am giving you a short fanfic that will probably last for three or five chapters. I still have a catfish and tyunning fics on the way. Anyways, enjoy this very long chapter with 3000 words in it.

It all started when they were younger.

Before they had to face reality and make decisions for themselves.

It seems like it was only yesterday since they both met. Neither of them knew what would they become.

As Hyunjin held the swing tight, making sure that she won't fall down and face a cruel future. She isn't an outgoing person, and not to mention, she didn't have much friends.

She only watched as other kids played with their friends, showing a smile in their faces. Even though she didn't have those, never did Hyunjin envy those kids every time she visits the playground which was right across their house.

And every time she does, she only sits on the swing since it was enough to satisfy her. She was the total opposite of her brother, someone who had many friends by his side.

There's one girl that caught her attention though, and every time she visits the playground, she would always look for her. Although she didn't have the courage to strike a conversation.

As Hyunjin stepped down of swing, she didn't notice her foot slip at the tiles below. It was sudden that she wasn't prepared for what was about to come.

Until she felt someone wrap their hand on her arm. She immediately turned her head to see who it was.

It was her again.

There were so many times that this girl would save Hyunjin from slipping or falling down. Or else it could've lead to something worse.

"You really have to be careful, you might get yourself hurt next time." The girl said as she let go of Hyunjin's arm.

"Thank you." Hyunjin said, receiving a smile from the girl.

Her smile also put one on Hyunjin's face. She was the only one who noticed her with each and every second that she sat in the swing everyday.

"You're so silly! By the way, just call me Heejin."

Heejin, so that was her name.

She wouldn't really consider her as a friend but Hyunjin owes her a lot. Wishing quietly that the girl would never stop helping her.

The girl offered her hand to shake hands with Hyunjin.

"Hyunjin." She mumbled out her name and shook the girl's hand. Hyunjin was about to take her hand off when Heejin started to pull her towards the slide.

"Come on, don't just sit in the swing or else you might freeze there." Hyunjin's eyes widened but later on, it put a smile on her face. Heejin was not like any other kids that she would see in the playground.

The others looked too bratty and she wouldn't even have the courage to walk pass them.

For those 100 times that she would fall down, Heejin's always there to catch her.

They considered each other as bestfriends even if they just knew each other for a month as for what they can remember.

Heejin was there when Hyunjin turned ten years old. It was not a hassle that they're personalities were different from each other, indeed it was a special friendship that Hyunjin would cherish even when she enters her adolescence.
