Ｃｈａｐｔｅｒ ４

The next morning rolled around and we were assembled in the fields to test our skill in the vertical maneuvering equipment for the ODM gear. To be honest, and not that I'm bragging about it, I already learned the tips when it comes to handling the ODM gear and even learned some tricks when I'm gonna use it in fighting.

"I gotta thank my dad for the informations," I thought to myself as I lined up next to Sasha and Mikasa. We were one of the cadets who finished the test as others went forward when their name was called by the instructor to practice on the equpiment.I worriedly looked at my brunette best friend as he struggled on the wires. Instead on standing up, he was upside down, his face is completely drained and Shadis has to scold the shit out of him. People started laughing at his stupidity as I rolled my eyes.

"They aren't even on the thing yet and now they're laughing like they know the basics, tch.." I said as Sasha sighed in agreement, "I know right," She said

Sadly, they had to place him back down as he leaves the test with disappointment. I'm concerned to him as well, because he always dreamed of join the Scouts and fight back to the titans. If he didn't finish this exam, he has to go to the fields.

Dusk has arrived and I walked over to Mikasa, Armin and Eren at the wires again, trying to see if Eren can now handle it, "Hey, how's it going?" I asked them

"He's just starting by now," Mikasa answered as Armin raised Eren up

In less than a minute, he was flipped over and on to the ground again and hit his head hard. We all gasped and tried to wake Eren up, but he was out cold, "Hurry! Carry him to the infirmary!" I ordered as they nodded and brought him to the infirmary.

I went back to the cafeteria and everyone noticed how distress I am. Sighing, I sat down at the table were Sasha and Mina are sitting, "What's wrong, Mia?" Mina asked as she slid the food that they reserved for me

I didn't answer as I started eating my food, frowning. Mikasa and Armin arrived later on with an disorientated Eren, a bandage wrapped where he was hit and it was... steaming. I raised my eyebrow in confusion as Mikasa guided Eren to his table seat━which is just right next to where I'm sitting. The two started eating and Eren was still fazed and the steam didn't stopped.

"He talked big game yesterday, saying he'd kill all the titans," Someone commented, "He'll be working at the reclaimed lands after tomorrow," They added

I gritted my teeth, mad at the people who looked down at him. More comments soon rise and I had enough. I abruptly stood up from my seat, but before I yell my pissed off thoughts, someone cupped their hand onto mine. My angry, blue eyes looked down to see Mikasa, a pleading look plastered on her face. She knows that my anger is gonna burst soon, so I sighed it out and smiled.

"Y-you okay, Mia?" Sasha questioned, I probably scared her

"Yeah," I answered as I glared at the two guys who commented on Eren. They both flinched at my eyes as I smirked devilishly, "There were a few bugs up my arms, so I gotta crush them," I said and sat back down

"Eren!" Mikasa called as she grabbed him on the shoulder, causing him to snap out

"Don't let their trashtalk get to you," Armin said, "You might get a chance tomorrow to get better," He added

I finished my meal and told Mina to take it to the sink with her's before moving over to their table, "I'm so pathetic.. At this rate, I'll never be able to slaughter them all," He mumbled around our table

"You should forget about that," Mikasa stated as we all looked at her in disbelief

"Hey, you can't just say that who has been dreaming about this and by the way, he wanted to avenge his mom, your mom," I said
