October 2nd, 6:57AM.

Aidan breathed heavily as his hands quivered with fear, syncing with Vanessa's. Her eyes softly fluttered open, squinting due to the shine of the brightly lit lamppost nearby. Once her eyes adjusted to the light, she blushed whilst locking eyes with the older brunette.

"Everything alright, Aidan?" She tilted her head and looked at their conjoined hands.

She blushed again but this time, she appeared to be redder than previously.

"Just a nightmare, I suppose."

Aidan turned his attention to the sunrise in the distance.

"We should probably head back now, Ness." He looked at her once more.

The honey blonde nodded and let go of his hand. She braced herself and stood up with ease. Aidan on the other hand, could not feel his legs.

"Ah! Sorry about that!" She scratched the back of her neck and sincerely apologized.

He grinned.

"No worries!"

Sighing with relief, Vanessa stood up straight and stared at the trail that she would take to her house.

"I guess I'll see you at school, then?" She smiled dimly.

"Yeah, see you there." He smiled in reply.

She bent over and softly placed a kiss on Aidan's cheek. His jaw dropped as she skipped away.

"Wow," he whispered whilst lifting his hand to touch his cheek.

He was stupidly in love.

As day broke, Aidan made his way to his not-so-humble abode. He hadn't even bothered to use his makeshift fire escape he'd used the night before. He was still in shock due to Vanessa's flirtatious appeal. Not even once did Aidan worry if his parents had gone to work or how he'd get ready in time for school.

He stared at the letter opener on the table. "Oh, right. Where did Mom put it."

He pointed himself 45° to the right in search of the letter he'd recieved from the sketchy school only to find it shortly after. Tearing apart what was left of the envelope, he glared at the invitation once more.

"Maybe the old bat was right for once." Aidan smiled.

He couldn't stop thinking about the girl who had swept him off of his feet. He couldn't wait to go to school. Well, his new one at least. Wait. When does he go?
