My birthday was fun, I liked a very simple celebration. My mum made lemon cake and lemon ice cream, my favourite.
Then, I got news that my cousin Albus and Uncle Harry had a fight. My dad told me to befriend him, and I agreed because I wanted a friend, and I had frankly been worried about him too.
When we arrived at King's Cross, Hugo got ready.
"Dad, what if I bump into the wrong part of the wall?" He asked timidly.
My dad laughed. "You won't, I promise."
My brother went at a running start and went straight through.
I had done this four times already, so I just went in. The red steam engine was surrounded by witches and wizards, some parents wishing their children well, and some children who were excited to go to Hogwarts.
I searched through the crowd until I found Albus, looking to be deep in thought. I trotted over to him.
"Hi Albus. I want us to be friends again." I actually meant it.
"You were never my friend." ouch.
"That's harsh. You were my best friend when I was six!" I countered.
"Well, that was a long time ago, wasn't it." My stomach sank.
Just then Scorpius Malfoy came up behind us. "Hi, Rose, you smell like bread."
I blinked. "Um... excuse me?"
"Nice bread. Good bread, fresh bread... what's wrong with bread?"
Completely weirded out and slightly uncomfortable, I walked away.
