Ch.3 The Town and Market

Flying through the sky Luz and Eda were on their way to the market after almost burning down the living room "Sorry about Hooty scaring ya kid he does that a lot he can be annoying but still a sweetheart sometimes." Eda looked back at Luz who looked okay for almost burning down the house "Well maybe next time someone should tell that bird tube not to scare people." Eda shrugged and patted luz's hair, after a few minutes of flying Luz's eyes widen to see a huge town "There it is Kid Bonesborough a town found in The boiling Isles its the neighboring town to the Owl House, where a variety of creatures live but Right now we're heading to the Market place which is in the city's main center of commerce and trade." Luz looked and see there are stands, monsters and so much more.

As they landed in the middle of town luz looked around an amazed "I didn't know that some of these monsters have jobs?" as Luz walk forward he saw the head of the staff that Eda was holding turned into a little owl that flew on to Eda's should "Who's that Eda?" Luz looked surprised to see something that small and cute come to life "This is Owlbert he's my Palismen and a good friend and-" she was cut off when she saw white-cloaked figures wearing masks strolling around the market Luz saw them too as they vanished as they turn left "Who are those guy Eda, Eda?" Luz turned to see a disgusted looked on Eda as she clinched a fist "I wouldn't worry about them, Luz." Luz was confused why would Eda not talk about those guys "Why they look like Plague Doctors because of the masks they're wearing." Eda let out a small chuckle then sighed as she kneels putting both hands on Luz's giving him a concerned look "Listen Luz those guys they're the Emperor's coven don't ask, but they are bad people in the Isles you see the poster right there" 'JOIN THE EMPEROR"S COVEN TODAY!' it said with a picture of a slender middle-aged woman in her mid to late forties she has ivory skin and pointy ears like Eda but she had dark blue lips, long, dark blue hair, and cyan eyes, dark gray claw-like nails and an inverted kite-shaped sky blue gem on her sternum wielding a big sword this made Luz even more confused before he said another word, Eda quickly grabs his hand as they wander through the market.

After a few minutes of walking, they finally stop by a stand it has a sign in red lettering on a yellow background saying 'HUMAN COLLECTIBLES' which surprised Luz for a bit, there was a purple tent and spreads a green tablecloth atop a white table. In front of the tent are blue and yellow shelves to display items, along with a wooden chest. "Behold Luz my Mobile business where I sell human stuff like this black shadow box that reflects only sadness." Luz examine it for a second then laugh which made Eda confuse what was he laughing at? "Eda that an old TV a KV5000 from the 1970s. ah the 1970s the Feel-Good Decade good times, good times anyway here let me see it" she hands him the TV Luz's pupils turn neon green "Aw hah here's the problem its dead needs power hang on you might wanna step back Eda" as she did Luz puts right hand on the box then an audible hum can be heard as Eda saw and "awe" lightning coming out of Luz's hand "Okay that should do it" Luz push a small button then TV came to live music was playing there were four people on the screen playing instruments Eda started to like this song.

People are starting to come to the Stand hearing and listening One of them shouted 15 snails another said 20 snails "People people if you're all interested in the song leave that to me" Luz calming down the audience jump over to the other side of the deck and slumped down for a moment then came back up with some vinyl record covers that had the words 'MEET THE BEETLES!' after an hour of hand out the records Luz told Eda if there was a repair shop around here "You mean a Blacksmith yeah there's one here but it's a 5-mile walk why you ask kid?" Eda counting all the snails not even paying attention to luz "I just need a fixer-upper that's all." he shrugged Eda look at him with a smile waving her hand telling him to go no ahead Luz jumped off the desk and started to make his way to find the Blacksmith. after 30 minutes of walking Luz was begin to feel hopeless how is he going to find a Blacksmith here this place is huge before he started to head back he heard a female voice behind him "U-um excuse me I selling some unique flowers and plants and I was wonder if-" the person behind Luz gasp as he turned around the person was almost his height about 5'1 she was a bit chubby had light skin, pointed ears, green eyes, and short, turquoise-blue hair, She wears a pair of round glasses and wore a long-sleeve yellowish-tan dress that has a blue tie with an oval chartreuse gem on it, light grey and dark grey striped leggings, and brown boots she was holding a small plant pot with a plant that looks familiar "Y-y-your, oh my gosh you're a human!" almost dropping the potted plant as she has overcome with excitement she put out her right offering a handshake "Hi I'm Willow, Willow Park" Luz shook her hand was a nervous smile "I'm Luz and it's nice to meet you Willow but you see I'm not a human" after each other stop shaking hands Willow looked confused as she examined him "Huh but you look human you have round ears and only human have those but if you're not a human then what are you?" She asked, "Well you see Willow I am a-" but before Luz could finish that sentence another voice came behind them "Well well well if it isn't the Half Witch what is a weakling like you doing here?" Luz turned around and saw a girl but something was off about this one her skin was pink, she had three Gray-blue eyes, and her hair was a violet color that was tied back in a bun, she also had pointy ears, she was wearing a track school uniform, consisting of a yellow shirt and pants, covered by a grey tunic and a small darker grey cowl and she wore dark grey, heeled boots with a light grey top and, she was holding a strange looking ball that was the size of a soccer ball there were four people behind her there was a young witch with a dark brown skin tone, eyes with gray irises, pointy ears, and hair that comes in tones of pinkish-gray and deep mauve held up in a ponytail, She wears a gray dress-uniform common to Hexside students with a black sash and black cowl clasped with a golden pin atop it, Her leggings and sleeves are red, the colors representing the bard track, She also wears gold studded earrings, to her right was a tall witch and yeah she taller then the other three a has green cropped hair, pointed ears and nose, and green eyes, wearing the same uniform but had green sleeves, to her left was a has dark skin witch she had brown wavy hair with a side bang, she wears squared glasses with black frames over her brown eyes and has a red lower lip. the uniform looked different and the sleeves were blue but what caught Luz's eyes was the fourth one, she was almost his height her head can reach his mouth, her skin was pale, her hair was in a chin-length with a ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face and it was two-tone it was a nice minty green with a brown color visible to the root, her eyes were a golden color, she was not wearing the same uniform like the other three were instead she was wearing a black short sleeve dress with orchid leggings and black point shoes with golden crescent moon buckles. Around her neck, she wears an amulet with an orchid gemstone that looked really beautiful, in her hand, she was holding a yellow handbag that goes down to her feet.
