I winnowed to the town house, ready to greet my mate, surprise her, hold her again. I met nothing but solemn faces.

"No, she isn't gone, I know she isn't." I looked at each person in turn, Mor, Cassian, Azriel, Amren and finally Lucien

"You," I growled, "Why are you here, who let you into my home and where is my mate."

Mor stepped forwards and put her hand on my arm.

"Rhys, he fort for her, and she is ok, but she found a girl, covered in blood and near dead, she is upstairs healing her now."

I shook my head before pushing past them and half running up the stairs to get to her.

"Feyre?"

She was stood next to her old bed staring down at an unconscious girl, she froze when I said her name.

She turned, staring at me for a second before crumbling to the floor, a broken sob escaping her. I knelt in front of her, brushing her tears away and pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"It's ok, you are home."

"Oh Rhys, the Hybern commanders, they put faebane in my food, my powers were gone, I couldn't reach you or get home."

"You killed them?" a nod "Good, who is the girl."

I helped her to her feet, tucking her tightly against me.

"I don't know, she just appeared, she was covered in blood, I've healed her wounds, but she isn't waking."

I turned her to face me.

"I suggest that you go and take a bath, relax a little, then put on some fresh clothes."

She smirked.

"Are you trying to tell me that I stink Rhys?"

I flicked her nose and followed her out of the room, letting her go and undress while I went downstairs and told everyone to go and find somewhere else to be.
