Badass (Chapter 44)

I felt like a complete badass after what happened. I walked into the kitchen and plopped onto a stool at the counter and looked up at my dad who was making a sandwich. I stole a piece of lettuce from his sandwich.
"Hey I was gon use that!" He complained, "tell that intern or whatever to buy some new lettuce, and milk, and ice cream."
"Sorry, no can do" I replied
"Help your old man out. Just send her a text or something" he said and looked up at me
"I fired her" I said plainly
"You what?!" He said and set down all of his sandwich fixings. I hopped out of the stool and walked toward my dad.
"She was hitting on Peter a lot and they were friends!" I explained
"You fired her cause you were jealous?! Oh god (y/n), my buddys gonna kill me!"
"I'm sorry dad! It's not my fault."
"Ha, yea it definitely is your fault. Whatever." He rolled his eyes, "I'm going to work on a new suit so feel free to help me design it if ya want." And then he walked out with his sandwich.
I blew out a puff of air and grabbed a fruit snack from the shelf and leaned my back against the counter and just gazed across the room. I heard footsteps and then heard them stop. I turned my head to see Peter standing there unsure of what to do next.
"Peter, you don't need to be afraid of me" I laughed quietly
"I'm sorry (y/n). She was hitting on me and I didn't know what to do and"
"I know it's not your fault, I probably overreacted but she was pissing me off"
"I mean me too but I wasn't going to say anything" he laughed
"Hey uh.....uhm would uh.....would you like to go on a date with me?" He stuttered
"Wait really?!" I said excitedly, I was shook that he still liked me after I literally went freaking bezerk on his friend.
"Yea, you like snowboarding right?" He asked
"Uh yea I've only tried it once...where would we go?" I replied
"We can take a quinjet and fly out to a place in Colorado. I know some family friends out there who live near a good mountain" he explained
"Ooooo that sounds so exciting!!!!" I said
Peter and I chatted and binged on fruit snacks and we planned the date would be tomorrow so I had to go pack my stuff and discuss it with my dad.
I had just finished talking with my dad and I turned around to see several avengers in the doorway.
"Can we go?" Clint asked and Steve, Bucky, Nat, Scott, and Thor all nodded along.
"I...but it's supposed to be a date for me and Peter...." I said
"If they're going I'm in too" My dad said and grabbed a coat so he can go buy a snowboard.
"We'll stay out of your hair, don't worry" Scott said and patted my head while messing up my hair. The avengers then walked away excitedly to pack their things and I just rolled my eyes. I shot a text to Peter telling him the avengers were coming too.
