Divergent high school

Chapter 4

Tris POV
~1 week later~
Even though we have only had a week of school, we have this week off for packing. Boarding school starts tomorrow. I haven't been talking to people, only Uri. Zeke is annoying and I can't talk to Tobias because of him. I pack the last of my things, thinking about who my roommate should be. We get to pick, I probably should pick Christina but she's so loud. I can handle it. My thoughts are interrupted as I hear a knock on my door. "Come in," I say. Christina then comes in and says, "Tris we are going to be roommates, oh and why are there holes in the door?" "Ok, and because I threw knives at it," I say with pride. They all went to where I was aiming. "Ok, lets have a sleepover so I can pick your outfit in the morning," she says. No, but you can sleepover," I reply. We walk down stairs and sit at the island, each of us grabbing an apple. Zeke than says, "Tris I didn't mean to seem like I have a handle on your life. I just hate seeing you kiss boys because I feel like they're gonna break your heart. Four is a good guy though so I'm glad he's-," "Thanks Zeke, I'm glad he's my friend too," I say nudging my head in Christinas direction. He nods understanding what I mean. We then hug and he kisses my head, and he says that we're going to Shaunna and Lynn's house to meet up with the gang. I go upstairs and get dressed, and we head off.

Once we're inside Uriah yells, "Truth or Dare! I will start, Christina, You know the question. "Truth." Uriah thinks for a moment than says, "What's the worst thing about Will?" "He is such a knows, And like says every boring thing imaginable. Love ya Will. Tris T or D?" She says. "Dare," I say. Uriah says something about me not being a pansycake. Christina says, "I dare you to tell me about what Zeke was talking about this morning. He said you kissed someone and you inturupted him and said it was a friend." Oh god. "Well, I kissed my boyfriend." I say. She just screams about how I should've told her. Then we keep playing the game, as usual. We all end up getting bored and decide to have a big sleepover at my house. Uriah goes in my car and says, "I like Marlene." I reply, "I know." He just sits there wondering how I knew, and the rest of the ride is silent.

-Timelapse to morning-

I say goodbye to the house. I get the last thing that I need. The locket my dad gave me for my 6th birthday. I put it on and decide to bring all the memories of my dad, and leave the ones of my mom. That will be hard because Zeke and Uri, both love her a lot, and will miss her. They also may not know about my problems with her. She has hit me before. But the past is gone. I am interrupted from my thoughts, by Tobias coming in and kissing my cheek. He says, "We gotta go." With that said, we're off to school.
