Chapter 3

Just so you know the boarding school part will happen soon, it doesn't happen the first day.

Tris POV

He heard me, he tells me to meet him in the neighborhood spot at lunch, the cake factory. I've known him for a long time, since we were 4, and this is where he told me about his dad and his real name. Tobias told me this when we were 5. Now those 11 years of friendship, all gone. I get in my car, and head to the cake factory. "Hey Tris," he says. "Hi," I reply. "Listen, I didn't mean that I like you that way, well I do bu-," I mumble, like an idiot. But, he stops me by kissing me, "Bea, I don't like you that way," he says. I look down. "I think I love you, but I'm waiting till I'm sure to tell you," he says. "that's sensible of you, should we get you paper for a chart or graph?" I say. "Maybe I'm already sure," he says. Then we kiss, and make this visit to the cake factory, our first date. After we're done, he walks me home and asks, "will you be my girlfriend?" I nod, as I hear screaming from inside my house. Zeke. "Tris noooo, I'll hurt you dude, Oh hey four," Zeke says. His eyes go into realization and he says "Four, I am going to kill you." "No," I say, "You can't have this handle on my life, you aren't dad." I say. I run up to my room and start throwing knives at my door. It's actually quite calming. I see a note from mom on my desk.

Dear Tris,
I'm going on a trip looking for a new job, being a waitress won't cut it. I'll be gone for about a year. Zeke will be in charge, until boarding school starts. Sincerly, Hana

She didn't write 'I love you', or even 'Mom'. She wanted 2 boys. I also remind her a lot of dad. I hate her. She ignored me for 3 years from age 12 to 15. She's terrible. One of many reasons, I need Tobias.
