I smile and raise my crystal up when she then asks louder this time, "We're... we're okay... right?"

I look at her confused, "What do you mean?" I ask her

"I mean.... We're still friends... for now at least....... Right?" she asks, "I just... I just... don't want this to ruin our......... our friendship," she says

I give her the most reassuring smile I had and tell her, "Never Foster. This will never ruin our friendship."

She looks up at me and gives me a smile back and I leap away.

I had done it.

I HAD DONE IT!

I DID IT. I TOLD HER.

Oh man... Ro was going to go crazy.

I leaped back to my house, carrying the tray of mallowmelt with my telekinesis as I climbed the tree.

"Ro?" I whisper

Phew. she was in the same exact spot from when I had left. That means Lord Careless didn't come barging in this time. Score for team Foster - Keefe!

"Hunkyhair? Is that you??" Ro whispers, her eyes squinting in the dark to find me.

Oh right. She didn't know how to do night vision.

I walked over to my bed and turned on the lamp.

"Now can you see me?" I ask her

"Yup. I see your ugly hair. Now... where's that piece of mallowmelt?" she asks

I glare at her but point to the chair I had set it on. She grabs it and immediately starts snarfing it down. Then she looks up to study me.

"Soooo..... What happened?" she asks

"What do you mean?" I ask her, pretending to not know what she's talking about

"C'mon! You know what I mean. Why do you have that droopy grin on your face?" she asks

I sigh and flop on my bed looking up at the high ceiling of my room.

"Hunkyhair, pleaseeeee? What happened?" she asks again

I reply slowly so the suspense will kill her, "I just... went to the secret cafeteria to get us... pastries... and your mallowmelt... and... I came back... and we talked........"

"GET TO THE POINT ALREADY!" Ro shouts

"SHHHHHHHHH!" I whisper hiss back to her, "My dad is sleeping, ya know!"

"Okay, okay. Sorry. Anyways... what happened????" Ro asks for the third time.

"Fine," I say, "So basically umm... I... well... I guess I confe -- "

"YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ro half whispers squeals as she runs over to me and comes to give me a big ogre hug.

"I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!!!!!!!!!" she says as she smashes me

"Wait... you aren't kidding... right?" she asks after a moment

"Nah," I say

She squeals again and finally lets go of me and goes back to eating her mallowmelt.

"So what did she say??" she asks

"Eh. I think she was pretty surprised, so she didn't say much," I say

"Well she's oblivious about EVERYTHING! What did you expect?" she asks

"Well she also like Fitzy so -- "

"Ohhhhh!!!! This would make a great story!! You just confessed your love to your girl with your best friend which she likes in the room unconscious!! This would make an amazing story!" she says excitedly

"Not as good as the Ballad of Bo and Ro," I say, "Wait till you hear my next chapter! Not that will be amazing," I tell her

She glares at me and I get ready for an attack but she stays put, "I would normally come and get you, but because you finally did it, I'll let you off this one," she says

I pump my fist in the air and say, "Another score for team Foster - Keefe!!!!"

She rolls her eyes and then tells me, "Well, you better start an' get ready for bed before Daddio gets up here to see what's going on. Don't blow it now!"

I smirk, "Oh Ro. When will you ever learn that I never blow things? I'm perfect!" I say and run out of the room and lock myself in the bathroom before she can catch me.

I sigh. Finally. I had done it, and I was happy.

Happy.

Words could never express how much weight has been lifted off my shoulders now.

Foster knew that I loved her, and that's all that mattered.
