Maxine Halstead

Prologue

Maxine 'Max' Halstead is 16 years old and the youngest of three siblings. She's also the only girl. She has two older brothers; Will, who is a doctor at Chicago Med, and Jay, who is a detective in the Chicago police department.

Both of their parents are dead, so Max lives with her brother Jay.

Even though both of her brothers are a lot older than her (but pretty close in age to each other) and moved out when she was still little, she has always been a lot closer with Jay than with Will.
While Will is the oldest (which he has always had to point out and tried to prove) and went away to med school when Max was very young, Jay stuck around for a few more years before he joined the rangers and went to Afghanistan for his first tour.
Although, now that Max is a little older, and ever since their father died, she has gotten a bit closer with Will as well.

Max spends a lot of her free time at Jay's work at the 21'st district with the intelligence unit. She actually wants to be a cop herself when she grows up.

That being said, being the younger sister of an elite detective in Chicago isn't always the most safe and stable life a teenage girl could wish for.
On top on that, she's also in high school...
