*EMBER POV*

I groaned as I woke up to my alarm ringing loudly. Yawning I got up and sluggishly walked out of my room and to Elijah's to get him up, Cosmos still curled up and asleep om the side next to me. I was just glad Elijah had already been packed and we didnt have to do it last second. Going into Elijah's room I gently shook him awake as I reached his bed, checking to see his bag in the corner. Elijah groaned softly as he turned towards me, slowly opening his eyes as he let out a big yawn. Sitting up he rubbed his eyes some.

"What is it mommy?" He asked, yawning. I smiled softly.

"You have to get up buddy, Mr. Gibbs will be here shortly to take you to Uncle Edward's. We dont want you to be late now"

"But its sooo earlyyy" Elijah whined.

"That's because you have a long drive ahead of you. Come on sweetheart, lets get you dressed" I said. Elijah only nodded as he got up and I reached over to his nightstand and turned the lamp on, a dim light brightening up the dark room. Elijah grumbled as he made his way to his dresser just as I heard a knock on the door. I stretched a bit on the way out of their and answered the door to see Mr. Gibbs standing right in front of me in a pair of jeans, light blue button up and his red scarf around his neck. Mr. Gibbs was a tired looking weathered old man and he had no doubt been used to hard labor in his youth. His graying white beard had been kept short as his dark brown hair had been tied back but his eyes were kind and as soon as he saw me he smiled. I couldnt help but smile back.

"Mornin Miss Ember, how are you this mornin?" He asked as I let him inside and shut the door behind him. I shrugged, a bit thankful I had pulled on some sleeping shorts before I had gotten up.

"Tired" I joked, causing him to chuckle

"Well im sorry to wake ya"

"Oh its quite alright, I know getting to where their going is a long ride. Better safe them sorry"

"Aye, thats true"

"Is he here?"

"He's parked a block away. You could come down and say goodbye to Elijah" He said, hinting at what he truly meant. Mr. Gibbs was very good at making sure I was safe, so when he knew everything was he'd let me see Edward for a bit when I wasnt supposed to or let us slip notes to one another. That's what I loved about Mr. Gibbs, he had done that for me even when he wasnt supposed to. I nodded. It had been to long since I had seen Edward and I knew I would see him in a couple weeks but I also wanted to see him a bit before hand. What could I say its been a year.

"Please"

"Of course, anything for you love" Mr. Gibbs said with a wink causing me to laugh some. That was another thing I liked about him, he would playfully flirt with me to keep me cheerful and Elijah had actually liked Mr. Gibbs to and the two would swap stories all the time.

"Can you please let me know if anything happens or goes wrong?-"

"I will, just relax, neither I or Edward will let anything happen to Elijah. You have my word. Just relax"

"Right" I said a bit sheepishly.

"I am actually going out of town for a couple of days, a friend of mine wanted to take me for my birthday"

"Oh?" Mr. Gibbs said curiously.

"Yea. I still have to let jack know, it was kind of a last minute thing. My roommate insisted on taking me, he's already cleared the background check so I know I'm good"
