Vanessa's POV:
Jenna offered to drive us home and I sat in the passenger's seat, a bit silent for the first part of the ride while I glared out the window. I reached into my bag and pulled out Glitchy, placing him in my lap for comfort.
"𝕍𝕒𝕟𝕟𝕪 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕚𝕕 𝕗𝕒𝕟𝕥𝕒𝕤𝕥𝕚𝕔!! 𝕀 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕔𝕝𝕠𝕤𝕖 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝔻𝕒𝕟𝕚𝕖𝕝, 𝕓𝕦𝕥 𝕚𝕗 𝕨𝕖 𝕕𝕚𝕕𝕟'𝕥 𝕥𝕖𝕝𝕝 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕥𝕣𝕦𝕥𝕙 𝕨𝕖 𝕨𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕'𝕧𝕖 𝕓𝕖𝕖𝕟 𝕓𝕖𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕕 𝕓𝕒𝕣𝕤."

"𝕃𝕠𝕠𝕜-"
Our thoughts became cut off by Jenna turning to us and speaking.
"I know this wasn't the best ending to our date, but did you enjoy it while it lasted?" She blushed, seemingly a bit embarrassed.
"Jenna it was fantastic! Everything was so well thought out and sweet, I couldn't believe how much effort you put into it.." I could feel my heart begin to race as I spoke about it. I reached over and kissed her cheek as she drove.
"Thank you Jenny, it was incredible."
I gently leaned up against her and looked up at the stars on the way back to my apartment. I adore spending time with her but I'm worried that if she ever found out about my unfavorable activities, she wouldn't love me as much... I need to try to keep those incidents under wraps.

Soon, we approached the apartment building and headed upstairs together after locking the car and grabbing our shopping bags. We both changed into more comfortable clothing and laid together on the sofa, gathering a few pillows and blankets. She held me close and ran her fingers through my hair in a comforting way, making me a bit sleepy.
"How are you feeling Nessie?"
"I feel calm.. but the interview was a bit unexpected."
"That's understandable, I wasn't expecting it either. Do you really think that Daniel did it?"
I froze for a moment, because I genuinely didn't know the answer. Originally, I thought that it was my fault since I did place a soul in the Glamrock Freddy Animatronic, but it seems that Daniel could've had involvement as well. Although I don't think I could ever admit that to her..
"I think it's a possibility but I'd hate to jump to conclusions. It's hard to believe a friend would do something like that.." My voice began to crack as I teared up, this situation doesn't feel right; I don't know who's at fault. Jenna hugged me closer and kissed my cheek, wiping away my tears.
"It's okay Nessie!! We don't have to talk about it anymore, I was just a bit curious. I'm sorry if I upset you."
I turned to Jenna and placed a soft kiss on her lips, signaling that everything was alright. Soon after, I felt myself drift asleep in the comfort of her arms.

-Morning-
☏ʀɪɴɢ ʀɪɴɢ!!! ʀɪɴɢ ʀɪɴɢ!!!☏
God.. what is that? I pulled myself up to see my rotary phone ringing on the counter, who the h*ll would be calling this early?? Regardless of my anger, I picked it up.
"Hello?!"
☏ "Hi, is this Vanessa Catania" A man on the line asked, his voice seemingly familiar.
"I-It is.. may I know who's asking?"
☏ "This is the investigator you spoke with yesterday, Mr. Watson. How are you?"
I froze for a moment.. why would they be calling me?!
"I'm alright, I just woke up. Is everything alright? This call is a bit of a shock to be honest."
☏ "I understand that this might be inconvenient but we'd like for you to come in again today. Daniel has refused to speak or admit anything to anyone except for you. We're hoping you can help us Ms. Catania."
I sighed, a bit annoyed that I'd have to return but this could potentially give me the closure that I need.
"I can be there in about 30 minutes, but in return I'd like for me and Daniel to be left alone without any police officers. I don't mind if you leave cameras and audio recorders in the room."
☏ "Alright but are you sure about this Ms. Catania? We don't know what he's capable of."
"I'm sure of it, and please, call me Vanessa."
