Jenna's POV:
Since Vanessa is going to be caught up with this interview for a while, I'm not sure of what to do. The apartment is comfortable but sitting around all day makes me feel unproductive and fidgety. I got up from the couch and headed into the bedroom, changing into a baggy black t-shirt and a pair of black jean shorts. Before leaving I grabbed my small backpack and a bottle of water. I don't have the car since Vanessa took it to the police station, so I borrowed her pink skateboard and headed into the city.

Soon after entering the town, I stumbled across a store decorated with balloons and streamers with a "Grand Opening" banner across the entrance. It seemed to be a new thrift store, which I'm a sucker for, so I headed inside and looked around. There was a variety of items, but for some reason my attention kept drawing towards this older bunny plush sitting on an old wooden shelf. It was a soft white bunny stuffed animal with a pink bow wrapped around its neck, similar pink bows at the top of it's ears, and small embroidered flowers along the length of it's ears. I picked it up gently and admired the small embroidered details, looking over it to see if there were any stains or rips but it was in great condition.
"𝒲𝒽𝓎 𝒽ℯ𝓁𝓁ℴ 𝓉𝒽ℯ𝓇ℯ!" A sweet voice spoke.
I quickly looked around, but nobody else was there..
"𝒟ℴ𝓌𝓃 𝒽ℯ𝓇ℯ!"
My eyes darted down to the plushie I was holding, keeping me a bit stunned in fear. It can't be talking right?? It's not even moving!
"ℐ 𝒶𝓂 𝓉𝒶𝓁𝓀𝒾𝓃𝓰! ℐ 𝒸𝒶𝓃 𝒽ℯ𝒶𝓇 𝓎ℴ𝓊𝓇 𝓉𝒽ℴ𝓊𝓰𝒽𝓉𝓈."

For some reason I emphasized with the bunny, even if the entire situation was extremely bizarre. I checked the price tag and she was only 5 dollars, so I decided that I'd be taking her home with me.
"𝙄 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙, 𝙄'𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙."

After paying for the plush at the register, I placed her in my bag and started skateboarding further into the city. I could no longer hear her, so I believe I must have to be directly touching her to have a conversation. I'm not sure if allowing a soul into the apartment is the best idea, but I felt compelled to help her and I hope Vanessa will eventually understand. I don't plan on telling her immediately but I'll have to tell her at some point.

After about 10 minutes of traveling, I came across a gorgeous flower shop that gave off the scent of fresh roses and lavender. It would be nice to get Nessa flowers, but sometimes I'm concerned that my romantic gestures are too cheesy. I know she enjoyed our last date but I constantly worry about letting her down..
"Hi, how can I help you?" My thoughts were cut off by the voice of a florist who worked at the shop. At this point I might as well just buy some flowers.
"I'm looking to buy some flowers for my partner, do you have any recommendations?" I inquired, feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the choices.
"Well what colors do they like?"
"She mostly favors the color pink, specifically pastel pink."
"Sounds good! I could make a flower arrangement based on that color if you'd like."
"That would be perfect, thank you!"
After a bit, she returned with a bouquet of light pink roses, peonies, carnations, and baby's breath. I was quite impressed with the arrangement so I bought it, giving the florist a tip as well. I placed the flowers into my bag and I started heading back to the apartment as the sun went down. I felt my worries melt away as I stared at the flowers, a bit proud of my gift for Vanessa.

As I approached the apartment building, I noticed Vanessa's car in the parking lot and I hurried upstairs as quickly as I could. I didn't want her to be alone right now, especially with how distraught she was yesterday. After entering the apartment, I found her in the kitchen pouring herself a fresh pot of green tea, and she appeared to seem calm despite her recent visit to the police station. Suddenly, her eyes shot up from the tea pot as I placed the skateboard down near the door.
"Oh Jenna!! There you are!" She smiled and walked over to give me a hug, which I gladly accepted.
"Hey Ness! You seem to be in a good mood." I gently kissed her on her forehead and rustled her hair a bit.
"I guess I'm just glad I finally got closure on the situation and we can get back to our normal lives."
"That makes sense, I'm happy as well that this case can finally come to a close."
"Would you care for a cup of tea?"
"Sure! That sounds great."
As Vanessa turned to pour me a cup of tea, I pulled the flowers out from my bag.
"Hey Nessa?"
"What is it Jen-" Her voice stopped as she turned to see the bouquet, with her eyes lighting up with joy. "Oh Jenny they're beautiful.!!" She exclaimed as she admired the different flowers.
"I-It's no problem baby!! I just thought it would help cheer you up." I scratched the back of my head and blushed, thrilled by her adorable reaction. Suddenly, she caught me off guard and pulled me into a passionate kiss. I held her closely and leaned her back a bit, unaware of how the bunny plush had fallen from my bag until I heard it hit the floor. Vanessa pulled away gently, confused by the noise.
"Did you drop something?" She questioned.
"Y-Yeah let me just put it in the bedroom and we can discuss dinner."
"Sounds good!"
I bent over and picked up the plush, bringing it into the bedroom and placing it besides Vanessa's bunny plush.
"Aww they look kinda cute together!" I spoke to myself, before walking back to the kitchen.
